2019 3.6L JLUR delivered 8/19, 22K miles, garaged and driven in moderate temps (TN). My ESS quit working about a month ago. I was also getting a message at start up saying my auxiliary switches were temporarily unavailable while the battery charged. It never hesitated to start but I figured it was only a matter of time.

I took to the dealership today and they determined my main battery was bad. Obviously, still under warranty, so I have a new battery under the hood. Figured I would share in case others had a similar issue.

Keep an eye on the aux battery. When one of the batteries goes, the other isn't too far behind.

I received one of the first JL’s made (2017 build date). My ESS started to become intermittent and remote start failed to activate a couple times at 36,000 mi/ 3 years. I figure it’s about time to do some battery shopping.
