Low buck cargo rack

Couple of boards screwed into the hardtop cover holes so I can pull cooler and boxes out without taking things on top out. Doesn’t get simpler or jankier than this.

What are the bolt sizes? I'm doing the same with some steel bar I have laying around but need to pick up four bolts.

M8 x 1.25

Home Depot link https://www.homedepot.com/p/M8-1-25-x-40-mm-Class-8-8-Zinc-Plated-Hex-Bolt-801698/204273588 but they cancelled my online order even though they had it in stock when I went in person. I used 4x. With a narrower board, the soft top still fully retracts. I may drill or attach some tie down points, but seems fine so far

Ya I saw these, but since mine is a soft top, I’m also using it as a crappy security measure to deter a lazy thief

I pulled the planks out. They worked fine as dividers, but it was annoying to pull out the boxes when I needed to open a lid, and there were a few times I wanted taller items that didn't feel secure on the planks. I'm glad I tried this instead of buying a more permanent steel platform. If I ever need it again, it's just 4 bolts away.

Thanks for the idea. I can’t find any production racks that work with a soft top. This may be the way I’ll go, but will probably screw in a piece of plywood for a more stable platform.
