I don't have it on mine. How can I turn the lines on? Is there a setting?
The jeep will still turn them off randomly even if he settings is set to on. After the recent update mine have been going off and on every other day now. It’s pretty annoying.

That’s odd. Hopefully they get it figured out for you.

Hell, my whole screen went black in reverse a few nights ago. It popped up the warning to look for obstacles, but the camera was black as night. I actually checked the camera itself to see if a coworker put black tape on it or something as a joke, but nope. It was weird.

Then, over the weekend, I lost the guidelines like others. They came back that day after I parked the Jeep for a couple hours. I have no explanation. Just a software glitch I guess. Friggin' computers.

I have a 18' JLU Sahara. When I first picked it up the backup camera guidelines were working perfect. Then I made changes in the settings area on a handful of things. A couple days go by and I go into reverse and also noticed my backup camera guidelines went missing :(. It made me think did I make a change to a setting which could of affected it. I did like 'American Jeeper' wrote above and my guidelines option was ticked off. But still no guidelines in reverse.

After thinking further I remember I changed the volume level of the 'Rear ParkSense Volume' under the settings section 'Safety & Driving Assistance' from the default 'medium' level to 'low'.

Once I went back there I set it back to 'medium' level the backup camera guidelines have been working 100%.

Not sure if this will help everyone but wanted to pass this information along!

Odd thing....first my backup camera was locked on the screen...no backup lines. Even in drive the camera stayed locked on. After stopping and restarting...still camera locked on the display and no way to get the menu. Eventually had to park the JEEP for a few hours and came back and the UConnect seemed to be functioning normally but the backup camera lines were gone. I had swapped out the theme the day this started....have since returned to the original theme to see if I would get the same problem. Unfortunately today it happened again. Hope this is not a trending problem.

Hello xeon,

Make sure to keep us in the loop. If you plan on getting this inspected by the dealer and need any help with that process, let us know. Very sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.

I’ve seen this glitch too.

Not related, but this morning, the stereo was muted. For no reason (mute button not on). Could not get sound from CarPlay, BT, or SiriusXM. Turned the Jeep off and on. Nope.

Later, it healed itself. Weird, and very annoying.

My camera has been continuously glitchy. I had the green lines running through the screen intermittently, and sometimes it would refuse to work altogether. The system would not accept the software update at the dealership so they opened a Star case and had Jeep send new software out. Worked fine for a few weeks, and now my guidelines have started to disappear on and off too.

Happens twice with my Sahara now and it’s super annoying. Won’t even come back on after restating the car or leaving it off for a few hours. Must be a serious glitch in software since so many owners experience the same issue. Hopefully they get it updated soon.
