The lower gap get covered by the flap that you install. I was worried too but it was easy to do especially if you have an impact wrench. It's an easy fit and well thought out.
The advantage of the RokBloks is that they can be removed quicker for crawling. and replaced afterwards. I just was out and it is precipitating. The flaps work well.
Jon I'm not clear about your statement concerning the clips. They should be only placed on the flap and not on both flap and Jeep plastic. The flap would not come off easily if done otherwise. Maybe I just misunderstand what you are stating.
Yes I have plans to install a lift an 37’s but all of the road treatments for ice this winter has really made me upset. I hope this helps keep my door handles clean. The design I great but the clips can cut into the flap.
I was able to place stainless steel bolt/nut/plate over the passenger front and epoxy the thumb screw cap on top to make it look like it was designed but now to take it off requires a wrench and pliers. All is hidden under the flap and wheel liner.
