Looking for suggestions: Sun screen for JLU - UPDATE

So, the wife has requested I look for a sun shade for her 2022 JLU. She wants to take the freedom panels off but can't take sitting in the sun. I'm looking for a mesh shade that fits the front of the JLU, installs with no modifications to the Jeep, and can be left in place when the Freedom Panels are re-installed. So, what is everybody using, and what brands should be avoided?

currently have a JTOP that came on my '20 but I also had the full version of the following on my '19 I liked it and its cheaper then JTOP. My only complaint was that it was harder to open the freedom panels. If my current jeep didn't already have one I would buy the shadeidea brand again.

Thanks everyone! Looks like she likes the JTOP, except for the price! Now she's just trying to decide if she wants black to match the hard top, or royal blue to match the Hydro Blue body!

I have the two piece design mesh sunscreen. It's better than the one piece since you can leave it on and still access the freedom panel latches. I'm not sure how that works on the one piece types. Maybe someone with a one piece design can chime in on how that works.

Wife bought the one I'm using and I think its the 2 piece rough country brand.

I had an Alien Sunshade for a while, which is basically the same as the ShadeIdea. Seems the JTops is cut differently somehow?

For $90 I got the front and rear, though you can buy just the front or rear if you want.

Installation was a piece of cake, held well, etc. Wound up returning it for two main reasons, which may be of interest:

1. These shades strap to the roll cage and windshield, and thus sit *inside* the hole they're covering, rather on top of it like the factory top or a Sunrider do. It's about a 2" height difference inside the cab. If you've got a short wife, she probably won't notice, but I'm 6" and definitely noticed, especially while wearing a ball cap.

2. There are 3 tabs on the Freedom Panels and then the latch at the front. The 3 tabs were easy to access, no big deal. The front latch is where there was a problem, and from the photos on the JTops website, they have the same issue. You kind of have to reach in/over the sunshade in order to open/close the latch, and it stretches it a bit. It was inconvenient enough for me just return them and deal with the sun. I've yet to see a mesh sunshade that either sits far enough back from the top of the windshield to not have this problem or to have cut-outs for this purpose.

May or may not be an issue for you, but that was my experience and the two key things that drove me to just return it and sit in the sun. I've considered buying just the rear piece for the kids, but haven't yet.

Spiderweb shade was my pick. Did the belt silencers too. They do not have the bungee balls,

Nicer look for the bands. Leave on full time with Top.

So we received the JTop Bikini Tops yesterday and got them installed. Very well made product, and the install went quickly on both my wife's 2022 JLU and on my 202 Gladiator. We got the Royal Blue color for the wife and it is a perfect match for the Hydro Blue Jeep!
