I looked at that exact center setup and it had good reviews but I ended up going with a fox thru shaft steering stabilizer that steer smart recommended when I put there drag link and tie rod on.
I just recently added SteerSmarts components to replace the OEM tie rod and drag link. Also decided to put a Fox ATS steering stabilizer but haven’t tried flat towing with this set up. The reason for the tie rod/drag link upgrade was because of premature worn OEM components causing death wobble.

Even the my flat towing has been flawless for several thousand miles, I was worried about getting death wobble when towing thus the SteerSmarts.

The Fox ATS is stiffer than my Exact Center but it doesn’t ā€˜return to center’. I haven’t flat towed with my new suspension yet and hope I didn’t screw that up fixing something else! I kept my Exact Center in case.

Good luck finding the solution to your wandering. I can vouch for the Exact Center taking care of wandering of my 2dr (stock and not being towed). It did wonders. My guess is the Fox would have been similar. One thing the Exact Center does is give you a bit more ability to back up with your toad without jack knifing.

My Jeep is a Rubicon… I don’t understand.
I looked at the link you sent and it stated not for jeep rubicon.
I'll look on the computer instead of my phone.

Hmmm… I can’t find the reference you are claiming. Not arguing… just trying to help. Maybe point me to what you are reading. Note that I did need to purchase a steering stabilizer relocation kit to fit the larger diameter tie rod… maybe that is the issue?

the brackets on the roadmaster site say they do not fit jeep wrangler.
I am seeing some other threads of you and Roky using custom mounts to install the roadmaster 481140.
right now I am trying to see if my steer smart yeti relocation bracket and a synergy 1 5/8 tie rod clamp will work for the 481140 under my jeep.
i do have the synergy track bar bolt however i am not currently using it, but i like the steer smarts yeti bracket i already use and wondering if i can hook that 481140 to it then to the synergy 1 5/8 tierod clamp.

this is the bracket i currently use with my fox thru shaft steering stabilizer

Yes… that is for the other end. I had to use that bracket when I went with the Fox. I thought you were referring to the end clamping to the tie rod. That is the Synergy. Just have to get the right diameter for your tie rod.

That said, I wouldn’t veer away from your Fox SS since you already have it. I suspect the problem is somewhere else and you would only be potentially masking the problem with the SS.

What trackbar is in the front of your jeep?

Flat towing steering input relies on side force generated by the tow vehicle/towbar. When the jeep frame is pulled sideways by the tow vehicle, the force of the frame side load transmits into the trackbar. The trackbar should resist allowing the frame to move laterally by putting that side force into the axle. The axle side force causes the front wheels to steer because of the caster.

If your trackbar has soft bushings, it will act like a spring and let the side force have some elasticity and cause a lag in the above steering response. When too much of this happens the tow vehicle and tow'd vehicle get out of sync.

Your caster is fine.

The trackbar is a critical piece of the flat tow steering.

I flat tow my JLUR on 37s

Good point… check your track bar bushings for sloppiness.

yeah i do want to try out this exact center and see how it compares to the fox steering stabilizer.
i just took it for a test drive after checking everything over today and double checking my alignment and rotating the tires.
right on 65 mph i feel a little vibration in the floor board not steering wheel other wise 50, 55, 60, 70 and 75 its smooth and tracks well down the road. few minor steering wheel corrections from being a lifted 2 door.

Did you try to flat tow after installation of the new trackbar?

tomorrow after work i am going to adjust my track bar because i am 1 inch towards the driver side.
i torqued down my tie rod and drag link nuts and bolts, i checked my teraflex ball joints to make sure they are preloaded and they were.
i have seen some people with the steer smart tie rod and drag link set it to 1/8 inch toe OUT.
i may one day try that and see how it handles.

No not yet, just took it for a 30 mile test drive up and down the highway.
