Guys, go kick the dog or something. @Dkretden .

After routinely praising LOD on this board (go check) and wishing them a speedy recovery from this incident I shared a story with "upteen" disclaimers, including the story coming from one media source, that fires are regularly inspected, and nothing negative should be drawn from this story.

Dkretden, some facts.

The story doesn't simply say a fire happened. It said an inspector was called. Many fires don't require one. Many fires that do are completely unintentional. I said that, along with providing non criminal investigation reasons, like future prevention, why someone in authority might visit a sight.

Assuming this the case I expressly indicated the likelihood this fire was accidental. I implied nothing. I said others should imply nothing. I expressly said LOD earns the benefit of the doubt here. I said inspectors can be called for many reasons, including investigation of whether the very way the fire was fought was best.

No. Just no. Rather, that's the single most important thing but not the only thing. There are often tons of downstream impacts from such things like people not getting goods and services as fast as hoped for, and the very employees you seem to be coming to the protection of, that you think I don't care about, losing jobs, etc.

Fellas: sometimes it gets dark at night. Why not accuse me of clock prejudice too.

For the record, go ask them, LOD sent me a friendly private email just the other day.

Right back at you @word302 : really dude? What do you think I was implying as I expressly said to offer LOD every benefit of the doubt in the world.
First of all, you have a bunch of quotes with my name on them that aren't mine. What exactly is the point of your post?

I say the cat chasing the mouse with the stolen cheese is what started the fire.

Was just going to check on some additional LoD accessories to go with the front bumper and skid I ordered through Northridge 4x4 and was greeted by a red pop up that stated:

Attention
LoD suffered a devastating loss this morning due to a building fire. All production and office will be closed temporarily or until further notice. We will have more information to come as soon as we can. Please be patient and respectful during these hard times.

For more information, please visit our facebook page

Hoping no one was injured. Selfishly, I’m hoping operations can ramp up again soon so I can get the awesome bumper I ordered. Wishing all the best for the employees and families impacted by this fire.
Brutal, best of luck to LoD
What’s the bet they’re going to completely rebuild & still be back shipping again before AEV

So we are working hard and reconstruction is already in process. Most of our major equipment is in good shape and up an running. We are in the process of building a bigger and better shop than we had before! To clarify, the fire effected our office area and part of our first shop. Our shipping and receiving and finished goods inventory was not affected. We do have a some inventory available for purchase and ready to go. Please contact us at 765-385-0631 for current availability on our products and shipping time estimates!

That’s great to hear! My initial reason for starting this thread was to wish you and all your staff and their families the best during this difficult time. Happy to hear you’re rebuilding to be “better, stronger, faster”. Sorry for the Steve Austin flashback. And I agree Maxdady’s rig looks sweet! Looking forward to getting the Signature Series bumper I ordered so my wife’s 2 door sting gray can be wrapped in LOD goodness. I’ve also got your Destroyer sliders on my want list.
