Baja Designs LP4 Combo on the bumper. Baja Designs Squdron Pro used for ditch lights on the cowl with Seven Sparta mounts. Even though I have the factory auxillary switches I have lights wired to a JL400 grab handle switch. I have amber KC Hilite Cyclones on my rear window hinges as wig wags. I prefer amber since while driving in a group in dusty trail conditions, amber is easier on my eyes and reportedly to those ahead of me. @THAW has it wrong since a million Toyota Bros can’t be wrong about amber lights. I’m currently adding KC Hilite rock lights in you guessed it, amber, before I cruise over to trigger @THAW

... Furthermore, the D-Switch works via Android Auto and you can just use your Jeep's screen.

... Furthermore, the trigger wires allow customization that is just fun. For example, I have my high beams tied to one of the trigger wires, and then have the D-Switch setup to turn on all my front lighting if I actuate my high beams.
Wait - the D Switch works with Android Auto? Tell me more!!!
And you got the trigger wires to work? The manual says they do not work with CAN BUS. Please expand.

I have two sets of Diode Dynamics SS3 Pros (bumper and A pillar) for snow/dust. A pillar is the driving beam, bumper is the flood beam.
I also have a set of SS3 Sports (white) for ditch lights. They are all wired to the Diode Dynamics D Switch. Simple install as noted above. The lights have a neat backlighting feature. Not pictured is Oracle Bumper mounted Reverse Lights. Those were an awesome $150 upgrade. I may supplement it with the Diode Dynamics hitch light.

Well, amber lights on vehicles behind me are cool :like:

And all chase lights should be amber. I actually have an amber KC Cyclone for a chase light.

Super bright white lights on the front of the trail leader’s vehicle are cool. But one amber light might mean you’re really a closet Toyota Bro and not ready to admit it.

Halogen headlights for the snow, amber LED fogs, small white 2x1 LED driving/wide combos on the bumper relayed to the high beams, little rock lights on the side cowls to help read campsite posts in the dark (may upgrade to D&C Lucid VSL lights), little rock lights shining behind the back tires in case I have to back up on a shelf road some day. Never had to yet, but also useful for working around the trailer. May add a few more shining backwards to help around the trailer hitch at night. Could also use better reverse lights.

The app runs via Android Auto just like it would from your phone, expect displayed on your 8.4 or whatever size you have. I know that sounds like a generic answer, but that's really all it is.

The trigger wires are not tied to the CAN BUS, they are tied to the power (positive) wire for whatever you're wanting to serve as the trigger wire. So, for night-mode you tie into the power wire to one of your parking lights. To have one of the sensor wires be activated whenever the vehicle is put into reverse, you simply tie into the power wire for one of the reverse lights. It works really well.

I quickly tried the app through AA this AM and it was non responsive. Do you need to open the DD app on your phone first?

Thanks for the clarification of the trigger wires. I have more stuff to play with!

Perhaps @Diode Dynamics can jump-in on the Android Auto discussion. They announced it on November 6, 2025 and updated their app on November 21, 2025. It might be wise to verify that you have the newest version of their app. (my jeep is in the shop so I don't have access to it right now)
