On the left there is the knob that controls the parking and headlights.

On the right is the control for brightness of the dash lights and turning the overhead light on.

What does the one in the middle do?

I tried what people said and I swear it does nothing?

Per the manual:
Rotating the left dimmer control will adjust the interior and ambient light levels.

Ambient light level. Floor, cup holder, etc.
However, the right dial must be in the nighttime setting with the dimmer dash lights for it to make any adjustment. If you turn the left dial with the dash lights at full brightness, it won’t do anything.

Yep. Rotate it at night and you’ll see the difference. The foot wells can be turned off or brightened.

On mine it doesn't do anything to the footwell lighting. But it does slightly dim the cupholder and door handle lighting. It has to be dark outside to notice.

Its best to operate the foot lights at night and you will see them change.

THANK YOU for the above repays...I was just at my dealer yesterday for my recall and ask them about the middle switch...They could not show me what it does...There is NO mention of either of those switches in my owners book...I looked several times...

I did get my compass recalibrated and it now works...

And after that my ambient temperature gauge started working above 79 degrees???

Call or email the Wrangler hotline and have them send you the actual owners manual. It’s in there. What you have is the users guide. Owners manual is 600plus pages. Might take a while to get one, took them two tries to get the right one to me

It controls he ambient lighting
Sport it is only in front door handles and it is only on when your dash is not at full bright.
