We just used colloidal graphite in isopropanol as thread lube in the nuke plant. No other chemicals were allowed to contact the system. Good old neolube.

I think that was what Champion spark plug anti-seize was. When I worked centrifuge uranium enrichment nuc in the 70s and 80s, most of the bolts and fittings were stainless steel, 316L stainless no less. 316 galls badly. The function of the anti-seize in that application was preventing galling.

But with these wheels, it's a dual purpose; anti-galling and anti-corrosive.

All this reminds me after getting them mounted at discount who didn’t have anti seize that they used I meant to go back and apply it. 12k miles ago, whoops
Don't let it go any longer or you may be buying wheels when your tires wear out.

Anyone know how they make these? Every can of anti-seize I've had for about 50 years has looked like this, regardless of brand. It's fascinating. How do they do it?

To anti-seize or not to anti-seize?

What do you use anti-seize on? I've read a lot of people are using loctite on things, I would normally use anti-seize on. I would think as long as it has a self locking nut or a lock washer why not use a little anti-seize?

Do you really think broken bolts are caused by galvanic corrosion? There are many other reasons. Properly applied anti seize theoretically should prevent moisture at the faying surfaces. All anti seize compounds if properly applied will do that.
We were taught that in university, and taught that in the field, and by MIL standards.
I would suggest that it leads to it and then and then at some point, in time a catastrophic event occurs and in the weakened state it fails...which is why I used Grade 8 Gold-Zinc and replaced them twice a year. Last thing you want is a failed Bead Lock ring a 1000 mi from home.

The yellow coating:
Grade 8 zinc plated alloy steel bolts are thru-heated and thru-hardened with a CR+5 zinc plating.
What you want for your wheels rings.
Not the ones with a black coating.
YEP, that is what I used and replaced x 2 per year...

Question: How do you know you are talking to an engineer?

Answer: Don't worry, he will tell you.
