Hello all, I am going to have the MOPAR LCA 68322798AA installed on my new 2025 Willys. I am just wanting to hear anyone else that has had them installed and it has improved the steering wander?

Also, any thing I should mention to the dealer before or after install? They will also be doing/checking the alignment under warranty due to steering wheel being off center.

I wasn't having any problems but I did install the mopar extended LCA's when I installed Rubicon take off springs & shocks. It's been a great set up for me.

Hopefully they will get you fixed up. 👍

Have it aligned after installation.

I don't think the extra length of the Mopar extended LCAs is enough to make a significant difference.

We have a 2022 JLUR with a 4 1/2" Metalcloak lift, a 2023 JT Mojave that came with a Mopar lift from the dealer, and a 2025 JLR that has a 3 1/2" Metalcloak lift. The JT Mojave always had a case of the wanders and required constant steering correction on the highway. I had an alignment done and castor was just 4.1 degrees. I changed to Metalcloak LCAs and set castor at 5.0 degrees, and it helped but did not eliminate the wander. I also added Metalcloak front and rear track bars to center the axles because they were way off with the Mopar lift. This seemed to help some, but not much. The JT Mojave still needed a lot more steering correction on the highway than either of our other Jeeps. I've lived with this for two years because the rest of the JT Mojave was great.

Then, two weeks ago we replaced the tires that had been on it from the dealership. It came with 285/75R17 Nitto Trail Grapplers that had worn enough to need replacing at just 23,000 miles. After putting on the new tires (Toyo Open Country RT Trail) the constant wandering was gone. And they are much quieter on the highway and have noticeably less rolling resistance.

So, I would recommend a quality set of aftermarket LCAs that let you set the castor where you want it. And be mindful that some of the steering wander may be from something other than castor.

Not sure as its factory 2025 Willys
Will need to run and look at my JL and see where my LCA stand, but, I suspect they are already at best geometry and so should your be if you did not modify the suspension.

I have a 24 Rubi X 4 dr, and had these installed a month ago. I feel like there is definitely an improvement with wandering at highway speeds. It's not the constant correction with the stock control arms. I'd recommend an alignment afterwards.

what is your tire pressure set at? I have a factory Willy 2025 with 285 tires. Also I am not sure how high the factory lift is, but adding the LCAs should put me at what caster range?

I have a 2025 willys xtreme recon. I think they come with the regular LCAs and I dont feel it wanders at all. I find it strange they dont put longer control arms on the XR models, but again, thr steering feels perfectly fine to me.

The longer arms should improve caster in your case, and that should make for better steering. Is it going to solve steering issues for you? Who knows. I feel most people who dont like the JL steering will chase this issue forever.

I have XR package and run the tires at 30 psi cold.

My 2024 Willys did not wander, my 2025 Rubi X does not wander. I did the MOPAR extended LCAs and didn't notice any difference although I didn't really pay much attention. I do have to make steering corrections more often than an IFS truck, but it's due to road surface variations which affect straight axle vehicles more, especially with weak rubber rod ends and bushings in the steering. Increasing caster will help overall, but IMO upgrading steering components and the rear sway bar are going to improve your driving characteristics much more, but it won't be as compliant.
