New to the board here and have an issue I just discovered today. I've had the JLU about a month now and its great. I placed a Spiderweb sunshade on it a few weeks back. During that install I found that one of the 4 windshield bolts was missing. I purchased from a dealer about 4 hours away so called and requested a new bolt. It arrives today (wrong part as its shorter than the other three).

Anyway as I was removing one of the others to compare I noticed the hole for the far left bolt looked different. I hadn't notice before, well the nut is loose. I assume these nuts are supposed to be captive (welded) inplace from the factory?

Pictures of my problem.
First picture is normal.... next 2 are the loose nut.

ETA: corrected duplicate picture.

Take it to your local dealer for inspection and repair.

Those darn welding robots like to play jokes sometimes and the nut is probably down in the windshield frame waiting to start rattling around.
Or the dealer may say that is normal.
