I believe they want to make money off you through financing, and will charge an additional $1,000 if you don't finance through them, however else you might pay for it. Find out and let us know. Their rates seem awfully high.
I'm ordering in the summer so I'll get the final details from them when that time comes. If that happens before your purchase I'll let you know about the cash deal or if they finance at decent rates etc..
I drive by their lot from time to time so maybe I'll stop by before then if I start seeing JL's showing up. Right now it's ram trucks as far as the eye can see. lol

Well there is always something isn't there.lol. I'm sure you're right. Even with the extra 1k though the $$ still are about 5% under invoice.
Yes, I think, since you live nearby, Dillon is a very good place to look. I might end up there myself. Documentation fees are a little cheaper in WA, and I may have better consumer protections buying in state, I'm not sure.

I have a prospective build that I priced, based on what I'm pretty sure Dillon and Dishman would ask, and it came to a $36 difference. These guys know who they compete against. I'm still thinking about where to spend that $36...

lol. Ya I'm sure if you informed them you have a deal set up not too far away that they would be inclined to try and match it, seems reasonable enough. Is this the Dishman dodge in Spokane? Have you dealt with them before? maybe I'll get a quote from them as well. What does your build look like? I'm still deciding. So far I want JLU 3.6 LED Tow and HD Elec Steel bumper Soft top. I like to keep it minimal. can't decide on auto or manual. both have different advantages i'm struggling with that one...

I have never dealt with Dishman in Spokane or Dillon in Caldwell. I'm merely passing on what others have written, and what I've found on the Internet. I do, however, have a written quote from Dillon, and expect to have one later this week from Dishman. If you wish, in a week you could send me a PM, and I'll send you the email address of the rep I'm working with at Dishman, as well as the quote he provided. Someone else on this forum mentioned his name.

In terms of the build I'm considering, on this forum my opinion should rank about 9,999th. But, to answer your question, I would only need this for fun, so I want a 2 door. I'm looking at the Rubicon, but any of the models would be fine for the light off-roading I'll do. I just think FCA does a good job of moving buyers up to the Rubicon, the way they package and price them. Premium soft top, which is strongly recommended by those here who have experience with both.

I'd never owned an auto until three years ago, when I had no choice for the vehicle I bought. I was surprised to discover that it did not detract from the driving experience as I expected, and is way nicer for urban and congested highway driving. I thought I'd learn that manuals were better for off road, but that doesn't seem to be the case either. The early reviews of the new manual don't encourage me at all, frankly. (Still waiting for more useful in-depth reports.) And I might want the turbo. So, I'm getting nudged toward the auto, even though, in my bones, I think a jeep outta have a stick. It is a hard decision, I agree.

I like the focus on utility in your build!

Thanks. That looks like a fun build as well. tbh I love the look of the 2 door more than the JLU but I always have to carry so much crap with me for my job so boohoo for me, also have a belgain malinois who is with me a lot and out of her ever loving mind lol she loves space from everything and from everyone. she loves people and everything but she just wants to watch not be touched. big time lone wolf always on the hunt for bad guys lol just the breed I've been told. So she would like 4 doors over 2. Ya, let me know how that goes.

Interesting, I really have no idea what I want. I usually just go with the simpler option which is the manual. There is a lot of nice things with the auto though like you said. another one is re-sale value and also finding a buyer. both are better with the auto. Its a tough choice for sure. better mpg for the 4 door with the auto as well. I have no idea...lol

Here is some more information about Dennis Dillon (no way to confirm if it's completely accurate): their sales rep said to expect $4-6k under MSRP for a JL. That's consistent with the 12-13% under MSRP that their website shows for existing inventory. If you are not financing through Chrysler, add another $1,000 to your cost. That last hitch is the only complaint I've been able to find against this dealership online. But, in fact, their site clearly states that financing charges are extra, it just doesn't say they are expected. I believe that puts them in line with the 5%-under-Invoice crowd, if you don't finance through them, but not much below.
What dealership does he work for? Contact info for Dillon? Can anyone personally vouch for him? Would like to contact him when I'm ready to buy.
