Ready to switch from the hard to soft and can’t find any info on this specific part.

Watched the videos and was on my way but it looks like I have an “extra” set of the rubber seals and bolts that connect the two pillar pieces in the rear.

All the install vids and instructions i’ve seen seem to use one set of rubber seals to connect door surround and c pillar pieces.

Any idea where the second set is used?! I know normally when I end up with extra parts I did something wrong:/

Thanks in advance

Those are the gasket-like pieces that go between the two pieces of plastic that create each pillar. Just take a minute to examine the markings/holes with the pillars and you'll see how they line up. When assembling, just be careful that the gasket doesn't get crimped.

So did you already install the gaskets between both rear door surrounds? (Driver and passenger). If you did, then yes you got an extra set. Only two gaskets are used. One driver side and one passenger side.

Thabks for the responses- I was using the video above and went searching like crazy after I installed the first set of rubber gaskets on the pillars and noticed a second set.

I didnt want to move forward until I got more info. Everything is on and working now so I guess I just got an extra set. I scoured this forum and google/yt etc. and didnt see anybody mentioning installing more than one set.

The package is identical to the ones used on the pillars with the 2 rubber gaskets, 4 lugs and 4 washers.

There is a forum member that reported he did not receive these gaskets and the dealer was having trouble finding the replacement part numbers.

Maybe you got his gaskets. :headbang:
