Ok I have a 2022 JL dual top wrangler. I didn’t get around to switching to the soft top to one week ago. The back windows don’t seem to click in? I am worried they will fly out. Worried to flip front part to the sun rider position. The back side panel piece looks like it should “click” all the way in and it doesn’t. (I miss the zippers). The slide on tubes don’t seem secure. Any thoughts. Ideas or help to give me that secure.

The bottom tab of the vertical stiffener in the first photo appears to be correctly attached. A photo of this location, from the outside of the vehicle, would help us to confirm it.

In your second photo, the tab isn't fully seated because the corner tabs aren't tucked in to the corresponding channel that is mounted to the sheet metal (i.e., body). These mildly curved tabs would be evident, and are attached, on/via the outside of the Jeep.

Hope this helps.

Agreed, I was trying to find a way to say the same thing, the bottom corner tabs on the back window don't appear to be connected.

Thank you for the reply. I think the picture is actually of the same side or same tab. I will say from the outside it looks great. But I actually took it to the local Jeep and he said the tabs don’t really click or connect like you would think. I will try and add better photos

We have a 22 JLR and a soft top. We have not had any issues at all. I would agree with the above critiques and I would add that I had to push fairly hard on the rigid corner for the tab to slide into place, but once there it was very secure. Hope you have better luck and Jeep On.

Oh they click alright. It's a very satisfying click.
You have to make sure that last bit of green tab is tucked into the tub, otherwise it'll interfere with proper engagement of the quarter window stiffener.

I have a soft top as well
There is absolutely no way you should see that gap between the soft top and body. There is a second plastic tab that goes under there to keep it watertight. I haven't had my soft top on in a year, but that gap isn't supposed to be there. Below is a picture of my soft top tabs the one under my pinky goes into the corner. Everything locks in tight.

I'm glad you posted that picture, it was exactly what I knew wasn't in place.
I would have went out to take a picture, but I recently switched to a Trektop Slantback and it's different lol

A picture is worth 1000 words.

I love the soft top but I've gone up to Tennessee camping over the last year a lot and my wife hates helping with getting the hard top off because of the weight (I wish my son was a little older). The JL wrangler soft top takes a lot practice to get right but when installed properly is very secure. I guess when my standard soft top starts having issues I'll go with a fastback style top. I really do like the look.

EDIT: After the lift, I'm a little concerned if the soft top will clear my garage door without going into full sunrider mode.

Bestop makes a great product, I really like it.
And the factory soft top was always really secure, but Colorado gets windy as fuck. And, the Bestop Trektop (for two door) has the rear window zip into place to the quarter windows. So all three windows are held together super snug.

The tubes were the hardest part to learn on the 1/4 windows. When I was new , somebody on the forum told me to unlatch the front visor latches and give it a little slack. That little bit of slack gave me enough flexibility to get the 1/4 windows fully installed into the tubes.

I love this forum, I spend more time here than on other social media and I think I'm better off for it. lol

Another thought here, I bought my hardtop used and the plumbing and electrical aren't connected. It looks like your window washer line is crimped under the corner plate. That doesn't seem right to me. It seems like it should be routed through the same opening as the electrical.

^^^^ This.

The washer hose should not be under the corner bracket like that. In itself that’s causing some alignment issues with the corner piece.
‘Mine take a palm thump to get the corners to pop out when removing the windows, if yours are held in purely by the tension from the rear window something isn’t right.

Yeah, it is a pronounced palm-thump to get them out. Mine don't just slide out by any means, it is a deliberate act to get the clip to release.
