Dont get me wrong I've owned jeep.for many years from the strong 4.0 TJ to the JK that everyone loves and I too loved my jeep but I decided to go with a JL and even though I lived the jeep life and loved it this was a disappointment
Well, just shy of 12,000 mine did the 'engine' light, loss of power, and rattle routine. The light is off but there is a slight rough idle and rattle sound when reaved up. Have to wait until I'm off work to look at it

A noisy engine doesn’t mean it’s no good. You had the option of just driving it until it stopped running then warranty would tow it in and fix it. Here’s the funny part you traded that jeep in on a Ford they sold that jeep probably the same day and the new driver is running the balls off of it and doesn’t care about any noises it’ll probably run 100,000 miles. It’s a happy ending for all. Jeeps happy they don’t have to deal with you anymore, the used car lots happy they got rid of that used ford, person who bought your jeep is happy they love it, the bank is happy You paid off one loan and took out another loan. Everybody got what they wanted. Happy ending

I feel you. They are stumped about my power mirrors. If I didn’t like Colorado trails as much as I do I would have another vehicle.
They had to replace my entire body wiring harness to get my mirrors to work in my 18 jl Rubicon

Not to make light of the OP's Jeep problem, but this post brought a slight tear to my eye. Bravo SolidAxle, you beautiful human being.

This is why SPORTS are more reliable :). No need for that added extra stress on the body harness LOL.

That's fine if you trust them. The OP had already dealt with a bunch of idiots that could not identify the problem and it's allegedly their specialty.

Well it's sad what they have created and that's not the end of my problems when I first turn on the jeep you hear rattling like if no oil , loud wind noise from hard top . Issues issues issues PLEASE CHRYSLER BUY MY JEEP BACK . If my financing was thru Chrysler I would walk in there hand them the keys ( voluntary repo ). for those looking to buy please wait till they take care of the issues dont make the same mistake I did.
I have the same "rattling" issue when i crank it up. So embarrasing when i leave work parked next to all the JK's that sound normal, and here I am in the newer JL , but sounds like an old junker. Sure would be nice to find a fix for it considering the $54K price tag.
