I know there's been a lot of discussion in regard to the poor clutch feel on the JL's. The clutch is too light and has very little resistance / return feel. The attached video explains it all, the return spring not only returns the pedal but ALSO acts to help depress it to make the clutch feel lighter. If the spring is removed entirely I'm sure the clutch feel will be much improved (only the clutch spring itself will be pushing back) but it may not return far enough to allow fresh fluid to enter cylinder from reservoir. I think an easy fix would be relocating the spring, so it only acts to return pedal and not assist in depressing. Let me know what you all think.

ACT came out with a replacement spring. I don't particularly mind the pedal throw so I haven't tried it. I'm less a fan of how the clutch feels when it engages and the spring isn't going to help with that. I have it bookmarked just in case though.

The spring reduces the amount of assist giving you better feel I have one I can attest that it works. In fact it's like a $10 part you should buy one use it and see for yourself. The hardest part about changing it out is contorting yourself so you can see up under the dash otherwise it's a pretty simple swap and one I recommend.

Just a good idea to keep the factory clutch spring around because if you end up replacing the whole clutch then you'll want that factory spring to put back in it.

Even ACT recommends that you reinstall the stock spring if you install one of their clutches.
