You should remove “fire risk” from your subject. It just spreads F.U.D. and Google searches will end up in this thread.Update: Took it to service dept at a local dealer this am: Despite my video that clearly demonstrates the clicking clutch issue, the service department I took it to this am told me "there was no abnormal noise or operation". I asked if they in fact heard and felt the clicking and the service tech would not respond to that question - merely repeated the same phrase. It was super weird, I asked if I could sit with him and the technician who inspected to point out specifically what I captured in the video and what happens with my clutch pedal clicking and he replied that is not permitted. He then essentially escorted me out and wouldn't answer any further questions. I'm not gonna read into it - maybe they deal with people all day long who claim noises, clicks etc and have to be firm about it if the person inspecting says it's normal - so I'll just live with it.
I will say I'm not worried about fire anymore - it would be absurdly negligent to ignore if there was any real concern. Perhaps just clicks like this are things that happen in jeeps - I mean it ain't exactly a tank.
