Honestly, I did it for looks. I plan to remove them when I get my new wheel and tire package on. The stock wheels looked a little too tucked in for my taste. These flares are a little eye than stock so the tuck was magnified.

Little eye? Maybe wider? If so that'd make sense to me, I though the OEM stock rubi high tops were that way too. I'm guessing you're saying cause the stock Willys tires are pretty skinny, and the flares got a little wider, it's like the opposite of people who put spacers on their wheels to make them stick out past the fenders?

If it's just aesthetics I think I'm not too worried. I saw this note which scared me a bit at first: "*Please Note: Wheel spacers or aftermarket wheels are recommended to prevent rubbing during full lock and off-road articulation." But I think that asterisk is for their note how you could fit 37s without a lift (which I wouldn't plan to do).

Yeah, fat fingers... wider for sure. And yea, that's for 37s.

Btw how was the install of the fender flares? Go smoothly? I've never messed with them before

The flares were easy. Inners were smooth on the driver's side but a pain in the ass on the passenger's side

Finally some momentum. Picked up a JLUR Diesel suspension today. Only needed the springs but couldn't pass up the deal.

Took the time Saturday to do the swap.

Gained about 3" all the way around. I put in the JLUR diesel springs and shocks, along with new LCAs from the MOPAR lift. Only took about 4 hours of work doing it all with hand tools.

Jeep went up on 4 jack stands. Dropped the axles and did both sides ar the same time.

Only real issue we had was getting that 190 ft. lbs of torque on the LCAs once she was back on the ground. Not a lot of room in there for leverage.

Just to compare, this is the front spring from the Rubi on the left and mine on the right.

Next step is rhe new wheels and tires. I'm a little nervous ous about removing the wheel spacers. Thinking it may be best to replace the studs when I do.

Removed the 2" wheel spacers. Today, she goes in for new tires and wheels.

I liked the look of the stock Willys Wheels so I went with a set of Quadratec Morphics wrapped in KO2s.

After watching my wife struggle to get in, I had to get some steps. Went with the Quadratec QRC Side Armor with Steps.

This is the one reason I’ve not lifted my WIllys. My wife is short to begin with and even at stock height, she has issues getting into the Jeep. But we both love our find and we enjoy it once we’re in and running the roads and trails. After 48 years of marriage and my wife putting up with me in the Military for 24 years of that time, SHE deserves the respect!

Finally got around to wiring in my Diode Dynamics lights and installing the winch.

I went with the Badlands ZXR9500. Mote than enough for my little 2-door.
