DO NOT rely on any towing services from Jeep or the extended warranty they sell. https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/do-not-buy-the-stellantis-platinum-warranty.115015/

However, on the plus side, after the warranty company denied my claim because no parts were replaced, I got in touch with Jeep Cares and they reimbursed me for the expenses.
This thread has nothing to do with warranties.

I'd recommend some company that allows you to get your own services and will reimburse you. The problem with these companies is they are for profit and low ball towing companies who will just pass on the job. They'll tell a towing company, "we'll give you $25 to tow this vehicle 100 miles for us!" No towing company is going to accept that, it's not worth their time. Tow companies make up their own prices on the spot, no rhyme or reason for the prices they ask. I waited a couple hours then finally called a tow company and they said, "we'll be there in 30 minutes" because I agreed to pay their price. The tow companies have you by the balls when you're stuck like that.
Does AAA work differently than you describe? Do you know how Jeep's Roadside Assistance works? I don't know how either works exactly.

I would be willing to give Jeep's service a try. At least to get someone to help you and find/send a tow won't cost you. Basic AAA membership is $64 a year (apparently it's regionally priced?). If I don't have AAA and rely on Jeep and get a tow for $120 out of pocket every other year, then to me Jeep's service is worth it.

For example:

AAA Plan
Pay $64 a year for 10 years = $640
This is what it costs regardless of using it or not
Net result = $640 out of pocket

Jeep Roadside Assistance
Pay $0 per year for 10 years = $0
Have to get towed once every 2 years (that sounds like a lot) and pay the tow company
5 * $120 = $600
Net result = $600 out of pocket

I might just cancel AAA and take it from there. I agree why spent it twice when it’s covered :)

I kept my AAA, but I use them for auto insurance as well, so it was a no-brainer to keep the roadside stuff for discounts, etc for the insurance plan.

Not sure if that's applicable in your case.

JeepWave is 100% worthless other than the 3 oil changes regardless of what they claim. I've attempted to use it multiple times across multiple Jeeps for towing and/or roadside assistance and never once has it been successful. Their trip interruption reimbursement is also a flat out lie regardless of what documentation you submit or how many times you contact them. Because of these failures, I now have AAA with no complaints. You get what you pay for...JeepWave is free for a reason.

AAA is not what it used to be. The last two times I’ve called the wait for a tow truck has been over 2 hours. Ridiculous! Both tows were not for my JEEP.

The problem is not AAA.
The problem is not enough tow companies/trucks/drivers.
Also, location is key just like real estate.

Blown rear end— AAA came from Grand Junction Co to middle nowhere Utah down many miles of dirt roads in a very timely manner and accepted both a premier and standard cards covering all but a few miles back to Jeep. wanna try that with Jeep Wave and find out what they will do ?…. Yes— I did have to struggle to a dirt road with the front axle and winch, it’s not a recovery card.
AAA works for any vehicle you are in.
I like that AAA covers all your vehicles, and even covers friends and family if your in the vehicle.

I cant imagine waiting hours for someone to come fix a flat. I'll just plug it or change it and be on my way.

It's never something worse?
Like bringing my wife who is allergic to gas stations 5 gallons of gas. So I don’t have to drop everything, whatever I’m doing, wherever I am, go home for the can, get it filled, and take it to her, wherever she may be. :lipssealed:

Picking up our Jeep tomorrow …

Currently I have AAA and I have used them (battery dead or flat tire). With a new Jeep the road side assistance seems to be included. Can I cancel AAA or is it better to keep it - not sure how good Jeeps road side assistance program is? But also don’t want to spend money on it twice
Keep AAA!

Many years ago I bought all new wheels and tires for my car. A week or two later while changing lanes on the highway my left front tire blew out. I was speeding excessively and thankfully there was a big shoulder and I ultimately didn't crash. Anyway, when I went to put on the spare the key for the locking lug nut was completely stripped. Turns out the person doing my wheels/tires was a new guy who didn't know what he was doing, damaged the tire bead so it wouldn't hold a good seal, over tightened the lug nuts and stripped the locking lug nut key.

Towed for a flat tire.
