Two fingers, nonchalantly ?

Just not like this …

I had a lady in a JLU all christmased out with lights and garland everywhere including on the face of the wheels wave at me like this. I was disgusted.

What are the Jeep wave rules?

If you go by the Jeep wave hierarchy, the inferior Jeep always waves first. Here are some handy guidelines for Jeep etiquette rules:

Rule #1: Respect your elders. The older the model, the more love you must give. This particularly applies to classic or vintage Jeeps. If you drive a JK Wrangler and see a CJ or VJ, you throw up that wave first. If you see an original Willys MB, get out of your vehicle and genuflect.

Rule #2: Accessorize. The more accessories you have that signal “serious off-roader,” the higher you are on the Jeep hierarchy. Extras and modifications beyond the standard equipment like winches, jacks, snorkels, body armor, lift kits, and large tires all increase your Jeep score.

Rule #3: Get Dirty. If your Jeep is squeaky clean from the car wash or you haven’t taken it out mudding in weeks, you best defer to the Jeep that’s still caked in mud fresh from the trail. The more visual evidence that your Jeep is well-used and well-loved, the more props you should get.

Rule #4: Model Matters. All Jeep models, from Wranglers to Renegades, can participate in the Jeep wave but not all Jeeps are equal. There is a distinct difference between a city-friendly daily driver like the Grand Cherokee versus a rugged Wrangler used for rock crawling. We all love Jeep brand vehicles but the less off-road ready Jeep waves first.

Lol I only wave to Wranglers and Gladiators. I don’t consider anything else a true Jeep, those other models are for taking crib midget Timmy to soccer practice. Also nobody has waved at me in anything but a wrangler or gladiator.

WRANGLERS and GLADIATORs ONLY! we refer to Renegades and Compasses as "not-a-Jeep"

Agree!! That’s what happens when ‘rules’ are put in place of common sense…….
The more I see ‘rules’ and ‘guidelines’ the less I want to participate.

Good Lord! Are there actually 8 pages of discussion on "do I wave, do I not wave?"

Is there NOBODY trying to figure out how much lift to fit 35's?

What happened to No Renegades or Compasses??? Need to update your map here.
Mm. Maybe not.

The recent introduction of the 20th Anniversary Rube, with its very Renegade-like grille, means we may need to incorporate an acceptable rate of error into the Wave flow chart.

Said differently, no demerit points assigned if we withhold a wave from what we believe to be a pretend Jeep, but is in fact the aforementioned anniversary model.

It was not that simple, sir. We know we ‘should’ wave…but if the other guy doesn’t wave how does that make you feel? What if you miss a wave and then feel bad that you let down your fellow Jeeper? How does it make you feel if you wave at someone who replies with a stoic stare and you’re left with an empty feeling inside knowing you got rejected? These are serious questions.

I really implore you to take this topic seriously.

Jk but there is a small truth in the questions. I’ve missed waves and felt bad lol.
