Rumor has it that the aftermarket is developing a programmer (code-named Mallcrawler) that will enable the driver to automatically text a "Jeep Wave" emoji to all oncoming Jeeps equipped with Uconnect.

I stand corrected on that - looked at OP again. However, there a number of posts criticizing people for not waving back.

Lol, don't let it bother you. If you feel it's lame that's your right to feel that way, and im sure you have experienced some things that have formulated your opinion on this. ALL GOOD!

I love waving in general, whether folks wave back or not...either way, I'mma wave bc it's fun, it lightens MY mood...and the hope is that the person im waving at will also be positively affected by a complete stranger greeting them on the road.

But hey, if I wave at you and you dont wave back, I won't stress... I'll just giggle and keep right on drivin lol!

@TaiMc I like your comment in your last post and I promise if I see you I will surly wave but like I said I wave at every Wrangler I see in and around Houston, I commute from Katy to DT and all around central Houston a lot so if you see a Firecracker Red Sahara with deeply tinted windows wave and blow that horn and I promise to do the same.

How many of you drive a 2nd vehicle, significant other's non-Jeep vehicle, etc. and either think "oops, can't wave, I'm not in my Jeep, damn" or you do wave out of habit and the Jeep driver looks at you in a strange way?

I always see more Jeeps when I'm in the non-Jeep. Figures.

Had my first Jeep Wave/GIGGLE in Houston! Was in stop n' go traffic today...there were a couple of wrecks and I saw this black JLU coming from behind...it stopped right next to me bc of the traffic jam. I looked over and homegirl was gettin her jam on!!! LOL she was singing and doin her little dance! We looked at each other, giggled and waved, then she passed me in the faster lane lol. Totally brightened my mood. I didn't mind the traffic jam at that point! Hahaha, just wanted to share the wave/giggle experience :cwl:

I usually have to think for a second to remember which vehicle I'm in. Even when on the motorcycle I'm mentally like, "Hey! oh, um.No..." Waving used to be a thing while on the motorcycle, but any more it's mostly the guys riding 30 yr old metric crusties (like me), or the old hardcore biker gang types. The accountant turned weekend Harley rider guys are the worst.

I'm my area there are a lot of Wranglers and I always wave unless I just miss it from being preoccupied. The biggest non-waving group seems to be the soccer mums.
