I'll be 45 in December.. and with how much this thing has cost me, I plan on being a rustic mermaid for a long time to come. ?

No joke, Jeeps are too expensive now and I feel for her.
New Jeeps definitely are, you've really gotta be making 6 figures to buy a brand new well-optioned Wrangler these days.
But why does she need a new one? Can get a new-looking 2018 Sahara in the low $30's pretty easily.

I've never been a fan of Used Wranglers. My taste in mods are different than some so oftentimes I just don't like that part.

I did find one just now that I'd take, as my only objection to it is the factory spare mismatched with JT takeoffs.

I found a 2007 Stock Jeep Wrangler X with low miles... That's my current "toy" that is far less expensive than a new one that I would much prefer to own LOL

My ideal Jeep is a 2-Door Willys in Sarge Green with a 6-Speed manual transmission.

It's all for the clicks and likes and isn't mean to be serious, but I did get a laugh out of...

I've listened to more Green Day, and Oasis, and 4 Non-Blondes ...and Pearl Jam... in the last 2 weeks than I have in the whole entire 90's ?
??? Right on, mid-40's mom...

Oh k-a-a-a-a-y...

I'm 71. A card carrying geezer.

Under no illusions that my Wrangler is some sort of time machine.

But it's a helluva lotta fun, even for an old fart like me. ?

Yeah I definitely agree, the odds of my wanting any of the mods done by someone else is pretty slim, and even mods that I did want I'd still worry that they cut corners or just downright installed it wrong. For those reasons I'd really only consider buying used if it was stock, and preferably a pavement princess. I'm fortunate to be in the position where I could buy a brand new Rubicon to build up myself, but if I weren't then I'd definitely not buy a used one that someone already put their "personal touch" on (unless it's just simple stuff that's easy to change, like the mismatched spare in your example)
