Is that how most Wranglers are used?
I would guess not, but again I think he was trying to prove to himself the 4xe battery somehow negatively affected it's performance by posting a video of two ? boxes duking it out, I just provided a more relevant video, I think.

I don’t know about your state but in mine (NC), Jeeps are selling just fine. I did notice the lots are more full but probably due to the push out before the 2025’s arrive. I’m still waiting till year end but what do you guys think of this? Is this happening in your neck of the woods?
Well up here in the peoples republic of Mass, you can't find a ice Wrangler but dealers are loaded to the hilt with that 4Xe...plus they only raised MSRP by like 55% since 2018. Don't have to be an economist to realize once a fairly well equipped Wrangler is north of $50K plus 7-8% rates = doom for the entire market not just Jeep. Last factory order I placed on a 2020 JLU Willys was $38K and now that same JLU is $50K+ no thanks Jeep you can keep it.

Sales, with over 80% of wrangler sales being 4 door they probably can not justify pursuing 2 door 4Xe.

I ordered my 2018 JLR the FIRST day they started 2 door production (April 2018) which is crazy when you think about it. Four months into the production year before they even started making 2 doors. All for the same reason, majority of sales being 4 doors
CAFE is an important reason Jeep offers the 4 door Wrangler and is the sole reason they developed the Gladiator, Grand Cherokee L, Wagoneer L, and Grand Wagoneer L. Jeep limits the number of 2 door Wranglers produced. The 2 door Wrangler, due to its tiny footprint is a huge liability significantly impacting fines for not meeting CAFE requirements. My source is my neighbor, a recently retired Crysler fuel system engineer who now is employed with Harley Davison.

Interesting and makes a lot of sense as well, never thought along those lines so thanks for the insight!
Thinking that the demand for 4 doors is a strong driver as well seeing how there are not a lot of 2 door enthusiast out there either. The 2 door is basically a 2 seater as the back seat is worthless (mine is in permanent storage in my garage) and most are looking for the space (passengers & cargo) that the 4 doors offer.

I’m with ya on that because I’m in the market myself. Right about now is NOT the time to buy any vehicle as far as I’m concerned. I’ll wait it out till the end of the year or early 2025. Until then, my 4-Runner has 220k miles and going strong!?

By stelantis rule in PA, and a few other states, if their vehicle has a hybrid version that is the only vehicle they're allowed to keep on the dealership lots. I end up having to go to Delaware to even see a non 4xe Jeep. Ended up buying one from the dealership in Delaware because the only way to get a non-4XE was to order if I wanted to buy it in PA.
I'm in PA and have 2 dealerships near me with 2024 non-4xe Wranglers on their lots for sale. These dealerships do have an exceptionly high number of 4xe Wranglers in comparison but it seems Stellantis is allowing non-4xe vehicles on dealership lots in PA....

MA follows CA lead so ICE Jeeps are few and far between, yet you drive to NH that doesn't follow CA and ICE Jeeps are plentyful.

Not familiar with MA and NH. I was just pointing out that "quoted post" in my post is stating "by Stellantis rule in PA" that non-4xe vehicles are NOT allowed on dealership lots. My experience is that is not the case in my part of PA.....

That's why I had to drive to Delaware. Plenty of jeeps on their lot.

It is a carb restriction for carb states and stelantis. My local Pa dealership had gas versions as well on their lot... One was the one i ordered in March of 2023 that hadn't arrived by November 2023 so I went out of state and actually save 10k. They took delivery of it a few weeks ago. (over a year on order). Never said they were not allowed on the lots. They cannot be ordered as dealership stock. Only the 4xe. Only ones allowed on lots as dealership stock would be customer orders that backed out.
