We actually bought a Compass today. We had one before that we really liked, and we were looking for something a little less flashy than the 392 to use as a daily driver ...

Actually, we had a 7 year old Challenger that was developing a bad case of the hemi tick that I didn't want to deal with in the future. You can't really test a hydraulic lifter to see if it is bleeding down, so you have to change them all. To pull the cylinder heads it is easier to pull the engine. It becomes a quite involved repair. Sad to say it was trade in time.

I have no qualms about a new Compass. It drives nice, and the Trailhawk package means you can at least drive on a gravel road.

My wife put 165,000 on one, I changed the plugs every 50K and put pads on it once.

6 speed with a great AWD system.

She still speaks lovingly about her old Patriot.
