Hey Jeep owners, ima make this short and simple , I leased my 2018 Jeep Compass back in 2018 . I am the first owner & it only had 17 miles on it when I pulled off the lot. 2 years old it now has 32k miles on it I live in VA and travel to NC often as it’s only 2 hours away . Long story short over the weekend I was coming down a dark street and made a left turn going about 45 mph and hit a curb pretty hard. I blew my front suspension completely and scraped the wall of the curb I hit, was told today from my collision shop there was NO FRAME DAMAGE which is a plus, no air bags deployed and no leaking .... my car still starts and runs , i basically hit the curb blew my tires and came to a stop . I do not have gap insurance and I’m still paying on my loan. Since I’m in the clear and don’t have frame damage they should not total my Jeep right I love my Jeep so much it’s been a long stressful week and I still do not have a estimate
I’ve talked to multiple different collision shops and all say it is definitely repairable and the frame isn’t bent so that’s a blessing from god . I am a single mother of 1 & I have a full time job

I appreciate anyone who responds to me TIA

No one will be able to answer that question except for your insurance company. I am guessing not totaled. BTW, this is the JL Wrangler forum. Hope you get everything taken care of. Good Luck.

There's no way to tell by these pictures. Looks like a pretty simple fix by what is shown here, other than the body work. Couple of CV axles, control arms, tie rods, wheels, tires, bumper, hood, paint. Maybe a quarter panel.

No I don’t have Gap insurance but yet I got my car at 24,000 I’m no expert but this does not look like 15k-12k of damage

Unfortunately for you, it doesn't look totaled. So you are likely still stuck with it.
Which I would like to be ... I’m only 23 this is my first car and also first accident

I am guessing no, not even close. Unless engine and trans are damaged.

Don't sweat it. You have insurance. Let them take care of it. It's only a car and no one was hurt. Learn and live.

You have rental insurance which is good. At least you have transportation while it is getting repaired. It might take a few weeks to repair depending on the shop. You should be OK . Make sure the shop is a reputable one and not a substandard one. Don't stress it. You should be good in a few weeks.
