Twas the night before Christmas and all through the jeep not a rattle was heard not even a peep.

As I pulled in the campsite to deliver my presents, the jeep awoke no one not even camp peasants.

The jeepers were nestled all snug in their beds, while visions of mud trails danced in their heads.

This little old driver, not so lively and quick, I knew in a moment I was not St. Nick.

As I coughed and snorted and called them by name: “Now! Willy’s, now! MOAB, now! Sport, and Sahara, “On! Gladiator, on! Wrangler, on! Recon and Rubicon; “To the top of the mountain! to the top of the trail! “Now crawl away! crawl away! crawl away all!”

I was dressed all in my camo’s, from my head to my foot, and my clothes were all tarnished with campfire soot.

A bundle of beer was flung in the back, I looked like sasquatch trying to open my pack.

The stump of a stogie I held tight in my teeth, as a bottle of moonshine I stuck in their wreath.

My big old round face, and bigger round belly, shook when I laughed, like a bowl of grape jelly.

I spoke not a word, but went straight to work, and filled all the tents; then turned with a jerk.

I sprung to my jeep sleigh and gave a great whistle, and away I wheeled off, like the down of a thistle.

I yelped to exclaim, as I drove out of sight- Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.

Merry Christmas to my fellow Jeep people!

Roky, don't know about you but being from the north country growing up I am liking the fact my wood stove is burning tonight. Almost reminds me of Christmas as a child. That does not happen to often down our way.

Agreed.... I grew up in the Appalachia’s, I’ve known winter, albeit many, many , many years ago, lol. Having lived in Arizona and Florida for past 40 years I’m afraid I’ve become institutionalized , and lost all tolerance for cold weather. That said this is indeed my favorite time of the year no question.

Merry Christmas fellow Jeepers and best wishes for you and all of your families.
Any Jeep presents?
I asked for door sill protectors (I got the idea from Aldo here in the forum).
I also asked Santa (wife) for a small trash bag that straps to my console. I won’t litter so I usually just dump any garbage onto the passenger floor mat and clean it up after my trip. I’m hoping this reusable garbage bag helps.
Hopefully “Santa” came through. I’ll keep you posted. Enjoy everyone and Merry Christmas to the site moderators. You guys have done a great job keeping us zoo animals under control!

Thought about going back north, left New England when I went in the military almost 50 years ago.
The thought of grabbing the snow shovel throughout the winter makes me like Florida more and more each year

I grew up in Peru; moved to N.A. 33 years ago. Lived 10 years in Canada, 20 years in Los Angeles, and the past 3 years in Washington State.

Part of me misses California: the weather, especially this time of year, the proximity to the Central Coast, the San Bernardino Mountains, the Sierras, Death Valley.

But I enjoy the 4 seasons; driving on twisty mountain roads in the fall and the spring, on a sunny day or in 1-foot of snow; the lush rain forest and abundance of lakes, rivers and creeks of the Pacific Northwest, the North Cascades’ wilderness. So I don’t mind grabbing a snow shovel every now and then.
