How accurate is the information given about build status from Jeep Chat?

Yup. Think about it - they’re getting paid ($10/hr?) to field basic questions about Jeep brand products. They do not have an “inside scoop,” nor any direct communication with the production line. Dealers have reps who *do* have an inside scoop and access to production... IMO, it’s a waste of time bugging Jeep Chat with, “where’s my order” questions.

Well, I had no idea if they have some kind of data base access or not. My POC says shipping date is 3/5, which I thought was wildly optimistic, considering my order date was 2/17. Jeep Chat tells me I'm in D1 status. I was hoping to hear that they are always way off and the build is actually a lot further along than they say. lol. I. Cannot. wait!!

On many, mine included, the shipping date you received originally will actually be the build date.

Jeep chat says Ocean Blue is a late availability color and will be able to order mid April.

Ummm, people have already received theirs! So id take anything they say w a grain of salt.

I hit them up a couple times a week and I get the same thing.....Your Jeep is built and waiting on addition accessories. The really hard part is I was able to physically go to the Jeep plant 2 weeks ago and see it and was built......and my dealer is only 25 miles away from the plant.....where could it be? I just text my friend that works in the plant and he was with me the day I was there...said he has looked all over for it and cannot find it......Eeerrrrrr!

I think it is vaguely accurate. As in they offer general worst case responses. Mine has been in JB and JeepChat said the same thing 3 times, that it is complete and waiting for accessories. I prodded if it was the top or what, but no response. I've seen some members get rough dates on the top holdup, but they have never admitted to it being due to the top to me. Only discrepancy I've gotten is dealer said 6-8 weeks to receive, but once in JeepChat they stated 8-12 weeks.

I asked if there was any way to find out, or get an ETA and they never bit...once they just closed chat, lol!

Thanks for all the input forum members. This is a great resource and I've spent a lot of time here. It was nice to have access to all this knowledge and these opinions before ordering my latest jeep. But, as Tom Petty once said, the waiting is the hardest part.

Been getting the have all the parts to build your Jeep D1 status for awhile. Order date 1/23, second build/ship date 3/5. Just checked with Jeep Chat, F Status with a ship date in a day or so? Getting better, patience is killing me.
