Hello All!

So I ordered a Wrangler several weeks ago. My dealer said my estimated ship date was today, more than once. So today I decided to try Jeep chat and they're saying "all the materials are in, and assembly is next". That sounds to me like it's nowhere near shipping. I questioned my dealer's updates with the chat rep and their response was to continue working with the dealer.

Does that mean the dealer has more accurate info than Jeep chat? Who do I place my bets with? :headbang:

Thanks!

You sound like you're on schedule. The "ship date" is usually closer to your build date. Once you get your window sticker that's closer to your ship date.

Don't ask me why they speak in riddles.

This thread will help you understand the process as we know it.

Edit: I almost forgot, freakin congrats on your New Jeep! Continue to bug JC for daily updates all you want (we all do it) and enter your VIN on the tracker to get updates on your build sheet and window sticker

I think 2 weeks is pretty bold for the dealer to say. JC is pretty good for the early stages and once it is ready to ship, the dealer will have better insight. The dealer can get status codes, where JC cannot. They can give text representations of your status.

Very helpful, thanks. Does a window sticker mean it's built?

It's not 100% accurate, but if you get your window sticker you are VERY close to built if it's not already done. You'll be waiting for a train headed your direction after it shows up
