After a month I finally got my Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xe back after a new battery was installed. I still wonder and worry about the new battery re fires, holding a charge, performance of my Jeep etc. Any info from anyone has who has gone thru a battery replacement would be appreciated.

I don't know your situation, but I have to ask, why live with the stress?

Getting rid of my 4xe did cost me a lot of money, but the peace I'm feeling now is priceless.

i'd wager a large amount of 4xe owners leased their vehicle. with market values being so low it'd be hard to walk away from the lease. you'd either be so upside down on trade in value vs residual or you're stuck paying the remaining lease payments with no gain. remember if you trade it in you have to pay the residual difference in order to get rid of it. not many people can take that financial hit upfront. for many its easier to just keep driving it and ride the lease out.

last i heard trade in values are in the 20-25k range, whereas a lot of residuals were in the 32-38k range. some dealers are even outright refusing 4xe trades.

To be honest, Gina, I think you're making some rash decisions based on one battery issue. I've got a 2022 Gladiator Rubicon 4xe with 20,000 miles and my battery has been fine, haven't had any re-fire issues or problems holding a charge.
A Gladiator 4xe? Interesting.

I didn't feel as lucky as you.

I live in a small, tall, narrow 1939 house with the garage directly under the kitchen, bathroom, and dining room. If that thing had smoked or caught fire, my life would have been over.

I have a 2021 Wrangler Rubicon 4xe. 70K miles now. I had the battery replaced after it stopped working around $30k miles it has been fine since. I have been through all the recalls. I don't like it but not going to take the loss selling it. My battery replacement boosted the miles by 3 more miles which was nice but now at 70K miles it is back to 23 miles winter 26 miles summer and everything has worked fine. Current issue on mine is the "Death Wobble" that older wranglers have had. My service was not covered. I did manage to get some goodwill compensation for the service needed since this was a big issue on earlier wranglers which included a law suit. Bottom line, I have been using my jeep often , charging and using the battery. Park a little farther away from the house and not in garage.

When was the Gladiator offered as a 4xe?

And, what is a re-fire?

Don't get too attached to the replacement battery, they don't seem to last very long either.

I haven't heard about much problems after the battery replacement, there is the usual coolant sloshing sounds some reported, but many owners are reporting operational issues after the 68C recall, seems Jeep neutered the electric performance.

I've got too much money and work poured into my 4xe to want to start over

Bunch of brand new user accounts posting positive about the 4xe. Must be a Jeep Cares covert op.
I think his Wrangler truly does identify as a Gladiator. It also changes from a 2021, to a 2022, to a 2023 depending on the day. And apparently today it is a 4xe.
Just got back from a weekend over in Big Bend with my 2022 Gladiator Rubicon, and let me tell you, it still puts a huge smile on my face. Those vast open desert roads are basically made for this thing, and the views... well, pictures just don't do it justice.
I'm not sure we can compare Japan back then, but I think we can agree China's got a ways to go in terms of reliability and durability. I've seen some decent reports on the new Chinese Jeep rivals, but I'd still take a 2022 Gladiator Rubicon over most of 'em any day.
I'd rather not drop a chunk of cash on a Hellfire upgrade when I can get a comparable performance out of a more affordable lift kit and some tuning. Rolling a samurai down a mountain sounds like a blast, but can you imagine trying to recover a $50k Gladiator?
Just got my 23 Gladiator Rubicon X with the 3.6L and Mopar Performance exhaust, and I gotta say, it sounds mean. From what I've gathered, there's a pretty noticeable difference between the regular exhaust and the Mopar version, even if it's just a cat-back system, but hey, that's what I'm here for, right?
Hey guys, so I just went through a stage 2 tune on my Gladiator and I'm really happy with the power gain, it took my 3.6 to 325hp and 340 lb-ft torque, was thinking about taking it to stage 3 but want to make sure I don't mess up the ecu before I go too far.
I've been using the WeatherTech rear seat mesh screen shade on my 2021 Gladiator and it's a total game changer, keeps the sun out and makes it actually comfortable to ride in the back. It's a bit pricey, but it's honestly worth it if you plan on doing a lot of off-roading or just cruising around with the kids.
so i've had this exact situation happen to me when i let my gladiator sit for a bit - the battery's gonna drain faster than usual 'cause the cold temps slow down chemical reactions in the battery, but it'll also try to recover when you start the engine, so worst-case you're lookin' at a dead battery that's probably just gonna need a jump start.
