Im currently looking at a 2021 Jeep wrangler 4XE with 20k miles, Ive read that battery for a 21' is 10 year/100k miles. My questions is.... will addling a lift kit and tires void the warranty on the battery? Mainly, Im looking at doing a EVO MFG 4.5" coilover kit on all four corners, and big tires... Will these parts void that battery warranty? Looks like a replacing the battery under the seat is 16k.... Thank you for all the help.

Not unless Stellantis can prove your lift kit and tires were the reason for battery failure. You can read up on the Magnuson-Moss act. It's fairly well spelled out in there what they can and can't do. Of course legal jargon gets interpreted in every which way so take what I say with a grain of salt.

nothing "voids" a warranty per se. if they can prove that whatever mods you made are the cause of the failure, then they can refuse that specific claim. That will be a struggle, however, as they offer special editions with various lifts and such.

Check with the dealer you plan on using for warranty work. Anonymous people online will be of little help If you need to replace that expensive battery and the dealer decides to void your warranty.

It absolutely shouldn't, but definitely talk to the service folks at your dealership and get a feel for their attitude toward lifted Jeeps.

First step is to discuss with your dealer...and if they tell you that it will void your warranty, go find another dealer...cause that's illegal.

As long your expectations are reasonable it shouldn’t be an issue.. don’t expect you will still get the same range on electric. I would suggest you ask this on a 4xe forum if you are still concerned.

You will be fine lifting you 4XE warranty wise. However, do be aware going too wild with it might make the technician not want to work on your vehicle. With 4XE techs being in short supply you should double think throwing 40's or something silly on there.

You should strongly look at a non-4xe if you're planning to modify it heavily.

I agree with the guys telling you to go check with your local dealership, BUT….. I’ve seen tons of scenarios where the service manager changes dealership even for other manufacturers , or local Mopar rep changes area and then all that was said suddenly means absolutely nothing cause his replacement is an arse….

If it is believed that the bigger tires caused the battery to overheat or go bad, they’ll deny everything. And since Stellantis took over, while service was not Jeep’s forte before, it is much worst now.

As someone who worked for FCA well before Stellantis was a thing the only real change I've noticed is lower warranty labor times on the newest models
