The Tech Package cluster is just glitchy. I saw this on the first startup after a two week trip this summer. Driveway is actually pretty level ;).

It was the main, but I replaced them both.
Interesting the stop start is unavailable this am. I’ll try testing the aux batt again today, maybe at the N1 post (or N3?) rather than the positive at the main batt harness. Appreciate the advice ?

The odometer reading was gone too this am lol, the gremlins are back!

Cheers

I’m waiting for the liquor store to open lol
Move to Vegas. It’s just slightly lower temp and there is never a last call; and liquor is always available.

Did you load test the batteries separately , or just perform a static voltage test? Before I replaced my batteries, they showed fine on voltage, but failed a load test.

Tried to test separately, for the main disconnected everything, straight to lugs. For the aux disconnected the positive from the main (With everything still attached) and the negative aux only wire.

I saw the same type of glitches when my main was going bad. I have an eTorque so no aux but I'm guessing the cluster is sensitive to voltage fluctuations.

Originally tested at the stealership for "ESS not ready" and they put it on a charger and blamed my mods. Fast forward a year plus of glitches and the battery completely failed.

BTW, no ghost draw, because that's what they wanted to confirm most. Replaced battery under warranty after forcing me to tow it in.

Since then... all good.

Thanks for that, replaced main last summer (turned out to be the high speed canbus) the aux was hmmm maybe 2 years, I’ll check the receipt.

Load tested not voltage fyi
?

Check and make sure all fuses are firmly seated. Check ground and cables, including small on behind driver headlight. Check green canbus connector behind glove compartment. Check/test intelligent battery sensor. Check alternator output voltage. Considering it’s 800 deg, check temperature sensor, I don’t have access to my factory service manual right now, so have no clue where that even is.

Wasn’t aware of the one behind the drivers headlight….. snugged them all up last weekend but that one… IBS new, canbus new, pulled and reseated f42 start stop light is now off, good stuff!

Tested the aux batt on N1 disconnected to aux ground disconnected 12.6v and ~200 cca under load, I think the Mopar batt is 150, I’d say I can rule out the aux
