Is this seal messed up?

Just noticed this today washing my Jeep. The seal that runs in between the soft top and windshield body is higher on the drivers side. Tried to see if it wasn’t sitting correctly but can’t figure out how it attaches or if it is messed up or not. Haven’t had any leaks or anything. Just now that I noticed it I can’t un-see it.

That doesn’t look right. It should be uniform all the way across. The soft top should sit flat on top of that seal all the way across.

Mine is pretty much uniform all the way across. There is a very slight “hump” just before the gasket turns down the side.
Yours looks very pronounced.

why do i say that, i TD’d a rubicon, which upon openinghad the bin under the handbrake flooded. This was a brand spanking new, protectivewrap stickers on the interior still in place, off the lot, 10 miles on the clock unit.

so… just stomach it if its holding water out id say. ??

So in comes the ham-fisted tech with 45 minutes to shove a new one in because his instagram is blowing up and he’s got another 2 jobs waiting that he has to get done before he can go get his drink on.

I have a ‘21 JLUR and mine looks exactly like yours. It looks like this is done on purpose and isn’t a defect but I’m not sure of the reasoning behind it.

Jludave, EJWF, and mwilk012 I think you guys all are right. On one hand why except a defect on a new vehicle but I can also see this poor guy having leaks after they “fixed” it. Then him saying “I should’ve freakin left it alone.

that’s exactly what worries me. Like I know I can take it in and get it fixed. But I’m wondering if I’m opening a can of worms by doing that. On the other hand I’m ocd and it being uneven drives me nuts. Unless of course it’s actually suppose to be like that.
