I'm betting it's an "oops". When mine was in the shop for the steering box replacement, I was given a new Grand Cherokee loaner that had a "4X4" emblem on the back. It was 2wd.

I asked the service guy about it when I brought it back and he just shrugged his shoulders.

Apropos of nothing -- or perhaps everything? -- there was only one thing that was out of sorts on my new Jeep.

It wasn't dodgy steering, or improperly seated fuses, or any other quibble that's been well-documented on this forum.

No, the only thing that caught my eye was the observably crooked UAW sticker on the tailgate. Perhaps that was the last thing to be done, and since the line workers got everything else correct, they thought their decal wouldn't matter.

The door jamb sticker confirms my JLU was manufactured during third shift, so maybe there's something to that.

Edit: Look for the MDH number: MonthDayHour.

This thread has been entertaining.

Now that I’ve finally ordered my first Jeep ever today, im hoping it gets built correctly. Unless they build it with the 392, then I will be happy to not say anything publicly.

Maybe they will sneak in the twin turbo straight 6 that can pump out 500 ponies, it`s on it`s way

My 2019 Camaro ZL1 1LE was missing the Camaro emblem on the front passenger side quarter panel. I had the 18' SS 1LE and that had the badge on each side. Both new, no signs of damage. Just a goof.

I read someplace that Jeep runs on a two 10-Hour shifts per day schedule. How do they note that on the data plate?

Maybe I'm over thinking this, but maybe there is another oops but Rubicon and Mojave are on opposite sides.

We had a Jeep Grand Cherokee that one door sill said "Jeep" and the other said "Durango".

Funny that no one at the plant, at the railyard or at the dealer noticed.

Makes you wonder about the attention to detail that goes on...

I was at my local dealer and noticed they have a JT Mojave that one side of the hood has rubicon but the other side is Mojave. The vin and window stick clearly state it’s a Mojave and all the accents are orange with the desert rated.

They have another that has both sides as Mojave.

First glance it looks more Rubicon than Mojave on the outside - red hooks, badges. Kind of strange and funny at the same time. You said orange accents inside that's all Mojave. Multi-personality disorder. Personally I would question the dealership on it, just to see what their take is. Then leave shortly after. :)
