Looking for some place to ground my air compressor. I am mounting it behind the driver's seat in my 2 door. Is the stud in the photo a good location? It is on the driver's side, just below the panel you pop out to remove the wire harness when removing the doors.

Yes. That's a ground stud.

Can confirm, I use it as a ground.

That is a tiny stud for a compressor ground.

As mentioned the stud in question is perfectly fine for any 12v accessories regardless of load. Keep the thread updated on your completed install.

Thanks!
I'll post some pics when done.
I have the solenoid and circuit breaker installed in the engine bay. And the wire harness is built and and connected in the engine bay and run through the firewall. Now I need to drive up to the auto parts store in the next town over to get some large terminal connectors to connect the main load wire (8 gauge) to the compressor.
Then I have to build some kind of plate to mount the compressor onto. I may also change my mind and put it in front of the rear wheel well which is dead space in my 2 door. But that will require an even more elaborate mounting bracket and will leave it exposed to sun/rain and thieves in the summer when the top is off.

The wiring harness on mine (ARB) included the ground, so it's grounded next to the battery. I'm guessing yours didn't?
Nope. My compressor started life as a portable. It had alligator clamps that you hooked direct to the battery. I've modified it and built a power harness that comes in from the engine bay. I want to run the ground as short as possible.
When I have the extra cash I will probably buy an ARB, but right now it is not in my budget.
