You guys make me smile. Michigan we see test mules all the time. The "M" in the plate means "Manufacturer", and I think I see more of those plates around town then "X" plates (X is for law enforcement).

Here is one on I-696 last week. Could not catch it, assuming it was a European model. Look at where the plate is, and the lower reflectors moved outward from the 2018 model. And the tail lights look to have Amber section, a requirement over there.

Plate location is also required to be centered in Europe too I have heard.
