iOS 12 and CarPlay

I have the Waze beta and it's working pretty well on CarPlay. I would have to imagine that it will be released later this week or early next week.

CarPlay works but Waze does not like all the rumors said it was going to .

Did anyone notice that the icons/text is a lot larger now than it was on IOS11? anyone know a way to have it go back to the smaller text/icons? Other than that it works great for me.

USB cables can be charge-only, or data-capable. Double check that cable with a computer running iTunes.

Still annoying that when I'm charging my phone (so carplay activated) BUT I am NOT listening to music through my phone, so say I'm on SiriusXM and I get a text on my phone, the uconnect goes to my phone therefore I am no longer listening to SiriusXM!

No - I want to keep listening to SiriusXM, thanks!

Anyone else having this issue? or solely user error on my end? It can be, it happens all the time

So far iOS12 is working just fine for me but I have yet to try Google Maps...

You can purchase a cheap little "Y" USB connector with 1 leg that has only power and no data (charge through that leg)

My X on 12 had serious connectivity issues for CarPlay. PITA.

This happened to me today. If you plug in the USB and it's charging only and carplay won't activate. go to settings and make sure listen to "hey Siri" is enabled. Should go back to normal.

That was if you want it to stop bothering you while you're listening to Sirius XM when you get a text msg.
