Seems like membership is growing nicely lately but I didn't see an intro thread, so I'll start!

I'm Rob from NY. I daily a Grand Cherokee and got a project TJ SE that I've had for years and will hopefully keep forever. Was considering a JKU as a weekend outdoor activity car for the family, but figured the JL Unlimited is right around the corner so why not wait. Happy to be here for the last few months following all the great news and coverage of the JL Wrangler.
Time sure does fly, doesn't it? Hard to believe it's been 8 years of JL Wrangler already. I did my time with the new JL, went to the new JT a year later, then onto the JT EcoDiesel when it debuted. Had a lot of fun with them all. Made a lot of YouTube cash with them all. But I would have owned and enjoyed them without YouTube. Great vehicles.

At this point I'm fixing up a '20 WK2 as my go-to Jeep and it'll hold me over until the next gen Wrangler starts leaking details in 2026. Then it'll be time to start the process all over again with another new forum. LOL.

Hello from Ames, IA! Former YJ owner, and I just picked up a 2020 WIllys Sport after being without a Jeep for just over a year.

The 4 door will allow my kids to join me in the fun, and maybe my wife will enjoy crusing around in this one. She didn't like the YJ at all.

I'm looking forward to interacting with you all.

2021 Unlimited Rubicon Ecodiesel
Hey everyone! Just picked up my '21 Rubicon Ecodiesel a couple of weeks ago. I'm not new to the Mopar family (started back in the day with an '85 XJ, and I've had an '01 Intrepid R/T, '05 WK Limited Hemi, '10 Ram 1500 Laramie Hemi, '13 WK2 Overland Hemi, and a 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie Hemi that I still have as my "daily". Added this JL to the fleet for family weekend fun and summer trips to Colorado/out west.

I got what I feel is a great deal on it - one owner w/ 27k miles, clean carfax with good maintenance history. Gave it a fresh oil and fuel filter change when it arrived. Looking forward to modding it and making it my own! Already installed the Oracle flush mount tails and a stubby antenna. Have a set of ARB diff covers in the garage waiting for me to find some time to install. Also have the remote proximity door handles getting delivered today and DD Elite Max headlights on the way.

Looking forward to learning everything I can from the forum.

2019 Jeep Wrangler Sahara
Greetings from Colorado, everyone. I recently picked up a 2019 JLU Sahara and have big plans for this one. I also have a 2D JKR that i've built out but the cargo space in that one is starting to limit my adventure travels. I'm planning to build this Sahara out for moderate trails with the ability to comfortably sleep inside. I'm separating from the military next year and looking forward to knocking out a lot of Badge of Honor trails as well as general traveling and wheeling. I plan on making a build thread for this Jeep to keep me busy this winter. Stay tuned!!

Hey guys. Tanner from Oklahoma. Don’t have a Jeep, instead I have a ~850hp mustang GT I built. Have a kiddo that’s growing up, so I’m considering getting rid of the stang and getting into a jeep. Just here for education and help making the best selection.

the engine you pick is the most important part of the processes. Also theyre are a terrible road vehicle. Take the sway bars off for added fun

That’s exactly the the first info I hope to learn; 4cyl turbo/3.6/ecodiesel and which seems to be the most reliable. I do understand they’re not the best cruiser, then again coming from my current car I’m not a creature of comfort. We do a ton of outdoors relating things, and a jeep is probably the coolest option for that.

Well im bias and would say the 3.6. Its the only way to get a manual and theyve been using it for a good while now so I trust it to an extent. 4cylinders dont belong in SUVs. As for the Ecodiesel i can only say what ive heard from others. The torque is fantastic but thats about it.
Do a couple pulls before you trade in the Mustang. I miss the speed everyday. but not the speeding tickets. Also youll stop noticing curbs and potholes. The jeep wont care lol

The 3.6 is what I naturally gravitate to initially. It’s just been around for so long. Diesel engines do generally seem to have a longer life but they aren’t easy to find now, and there’s plenty to worry about with repair expense. Not to mention DEF. I’d also agree, the turbo 4 just spooks me, but I thought I’d learn about its track record.

I 1000% will miss my car. I’ve put a lot of wrench hours into it and it’s a Z06 killer. But I think being able to take my boy hunting/fishing/hiking/shooting needs to become the priority.
