My garage has about a 2" lip where the garage door comes down. The other day I was backing out and as the front end came down off the lip I heard a clunk. I had heard it before and it is intermittent. So while in the food store parking lot I went over a speed bump, not fast or slow, normal like I would any car and it really presented itself. Then I went over another speed bump and nothing.
Someone said maybe the bump stops were hitting but I find that hard to believe on a 2" garage floor lip.
I had a guy check out the front end when I had Rubicon tires and rims put on it and he said he could find nothing wrong. Noise happened with the original Sahara rims and tires as well and was intermittent then also.

Check the frame welds on the track bar mount.

Sorry for the ignorance as this is my first Jeep, but which one is the track mount bar? I know the control arms, steering bars, etc...

The track bar is mounted in front of the axle. It mounts to a bracket on the frame near the front driver side spring and attaches to the front axle on the passenger side. One member had the mount shear off the frame due to poor welding.

Probably worth a look.

First post! Does it sound anything like this? The linked video shows the front right tire going over a speed bump while the left tire stays level. The sound occurs only during rebound of the suspension, not during compression. It also only occurs to the right wheel when it rises independently over a bump. Both wheels over a bump, no noise.

Pretty darn similar except mine wasn't a single click. It looks like it happens when the shock fully extends. Mine is different though in that when I would hit a hard speed bump it would do it on both sides and made a double click, not a single. BTW... I've since put a 2" body lift and haven't heard it yet. But I have been taking that speed bump easier :)

I actually had that same exact issue start at 2900 miles and took it in, the tire rod ends and the steering stabilizer “were bad” according to the dealer, waited a month for parts and literally 4 days later it’s doing it again, I smell a lemon coming.

WHAT?!?!?!?! I literally just had almost the same thing fixed this week. The steering bar and a tie rod end. They are both referred to as tie rod ends though. Mine took two months for the steering bar and then another month for the tie rod end. During that time my tires got trashed. One of the tires looks like it has 30k miles on it when it has 11k. I contacted Jeep Cares and said I'd like to look into having the tires replaced and they opened a case.

Yeah it’s ridiculous how Jeeps build quality and service is just getting worse, this is my 4th Jeep, 3 JK and now the JL, with the prices they charge now we should’ve have these issues, they’ve made the jk for 11yrs should by now get it right... smh truly disappointed and frustrated.
