Greetings All.
I am new to this posting stuff- but have been following forums on here for some time. You guys are a wealth of helpful info.
Currently enjoying My new 2020 JL..
Quick question about interior lighting on the JL sport 2 Door. I can’t figure out what the small rotating dial does immediately to the right of the headlight / fog light switch. Anyone have any clue ? For clarity .... there’s the large knob for headlights etc. To the right of that there’s two small dials.
the right one dims the uconnect screen and dash lights etc. The left one ‍♂‍♂

Dims the LEDs that light up your door handles. Honestly. Needs to be pretty dark to see the minor amount of dimming.

Not sure about the door handles, but on a Rubicon, it dims the the lights under the dash down by your feet.

I have the owners manual. The dealership was kind enough to include one with the new Jeep. it says that the switch in question is for dimming some sort of β€œambient” lighting.
I do have the floor lights. They come on with the far right dial and work in unison with the overhead light. The dial in question doesn’t seem to affect the floor lighting or ANY other lighting. Don’t have cup holder lights in this one.

You can enjoy your Sport even more by downloading the full owner's manual and reading about all of the buttons, knobs, lights, and other fun things.
What fun is that! That takes time away from driving it! ;)

Wait until it’s very dark Outside and you will notice the minimal amount of dimming if provides.

Context would suggest that I am supposed to have those...
I will check again here in a few minutes.

Confirmed the functions of the dials.
not sure if it’s correct, the same, or otherwise ...
Cup holder lights found. Very cool. Those are dimmed with the right side dial along with pretty much all other lights. The dial to the left of it dims the door handle lights. There so subtle and dim - even at full bright, that I didn’t even know they were there.
thanks again for the help!

On mine it only affects the already very, very dim door handle lights. It is a waste of a switch.
