So I am looking to eventually tear out and get rid of any and all carpet of my jeep (I have a dog so carpets in any vehicle are just the bane of my existence).
Looking at the interior of the jeep there are 4 areas of carpet remaining after I tear out all the floor carpets.
Tie Down Loops
The last two pieces of the puzzle are a bit more difficult to figure out a way to replace and get rid of are the gap cover flap for when the rear seats are down (which is almost always because other than my dog I rarely have human passengers, and rarely ever than one who can sit up front), and the cargo compartment cover/flap. I'm not too keen on living without the cargo flap cover as during the summer I go topless/safari mode with tube doors (not allowed to be doorless where I live...
) so having a secure spot that can't be easily broken into to stash valuables is needed.
Anyone have any ideas/suggestions?
Edit: because I was asked by someone I was talking to elsewhere who wasn't sure what I was talking about with the cargo flap/cover I took this video. Excuse the mess, I had some horses break into a feed back in the back I haven't had a chance to clean up yet.

- The flap/board/cover thing for the cargo tub compartment.
- The gap cover flap
- The back of the rear seats.
- The tie down loops
I have the dark saddle leather seats which I'm rather partial to at the moment, so I'm not too keen on replacing them, plus having mismatched front & rear would look funny. The best solution I've been able to come up with is to possibly take the seats to a local upholstery place and see if they can somehow tear the carpet part of the seat backs out and sew in something else. Either a heavy duty canvas or vinyl?
Tie Down Loops
Pretty easily fixed with with getting the mopar adjustable tie down loops (unless anyone is familiar with a more affordable option?)
