Where/how are you going to run the camera cable through the firewall?
This is the real question. I will be investigating this on Saturday. The good thing is the size of the cable is tiny (smaller than the tip of a pencil) so I am hoping to find a grommet on the passenger side to pass through.

I know the Tazer can enable DVD/CD input(I'm guessing that's what you'll use), but does the Uconnect have any in-motion video restrictions?
The Tazer allows you to override when you enable the camera always on option. Of course, this is not recommended.

Something that sounds technical, but it's not.
Really interested to see how this all turns out, hope your taking lots of pictures on the process for those of us interested in doing something like this. This seems a lot cheaper than the Lockpic or other video in-motions options.

So on the front camera are you using the trigger wire that comes out of the video cable, or is it just powered all the time?

So, it is possible to add an extra camera to the Uconnect 8.4 but not to the 7”?

Not finished yet, but here is a preview of the front camera at night. Notice the bumper in the bottom of the screen. I am very happy so far.

Installed the cable for the Roku but cannot figure out how to switch to that video source. I am waiting to hear back from Tazer.

Ran the camera wire through the door jam. If pull back the rubber in the door jam, there is room to run the small camera cable through. Looks like it won't leak but I'll know tomorrow when I run through the wash. Connected the camera extension right by air intake.

No, it doesn't. It's just a Cargo Cam video input, no audio.
You were right, 2nd AV input doesn't work according to Tazer. He is trying to get it to work but no luck so far. You just have to use the cargo cam input.

That means no audio unless you aux in, correct? Then the audio will probably be out of sync.
I connected the front camera for now. Ordered some more cables from Amazon. Gonna connect the audio to aux and switch the yellow RCA from the cam to the Roku. When I get the cables, I'll let you know how the audio is. Also not crazy about having the truck logo in the way of the Roku screen but oh well. Hopefully Tazer figures it out as it's still pinned and connected behind the radio.

Did any of you have trouble putting attaching the Tazer front camera cable to the head unit? I've heard you have to do this very carefully due to a fragile plastic part. Any truth to that?
