I recently bought the zautomotive front camera that mounts onto the grille. I'm thinking of adding a second front camera under the front bumper. Would it be possible to hook up both cameras to a switch of some sort and toggle between the cameras? If anyone has done this, care to share how you did it?

TIA!

I'd imagine a video switch between the cameras and then into the head unit would work. Caveat is I'm not sure if the head unit would complain about video switching due to proprietary code. In theory this should work just fine.

Since it is analog input, I think it would work fine with a switch box. Guessing you could get rid of the wall box plugin that most of them come with and run it straight off the car's DC, but not sure what that would take.

Unfortunately, most of these that you find will also carry audio which will just make the box larger and get in the way...

...but you can also find some that do video only...

But you still need to mount the thing somewhere where you can press the buttons to switch cameras.

Would be pretty damn cool though and I look forward to someone going OCD with this and putting front & rear cameras on each wheel for ma....errrr....rock crawling
