I am shopping for four BFG KO2 tires in 315/70R17 C 113, shipping to Plano, TX. Any sponsor deals here on the forum?

I’m running ICON Rebound Pro wheels. I am hoping I can find a local shop that can handle the tire swap while ensuring the pins are removed, new seals put on with proper lube, and torqued down properly.

Or am I overthinking things. Can the tires be replaced without removing the pins?

ICON…you listening? :):):)

Discount Tire can do it. I’m having mine done there.

Good question! DT installed my KO2s on new Rebound Pros so all of the pins needed to be installed. I’m hoping new tread will not require that but my guess is they will need to be backed out until they are flush on the inside and I don’t know how one would know?

Discount Tire is great! I was just there this weekend getting my wheels balanced. I only buy rims and tires from Discount Tire.

I have a bunch of the o rings for when the tire is taken off. Icon recommends they the rings are replaced if the lug is removed. Been running these rims for two seasons now mine are quite chewed up.

Sorry for the late follow up. I had 4WP in Plano do the tire swap. They did a beautiful job. No air loss whatsoever, checked weekly to be sure.

The K03's are available in that size already. Might want to consider those as well.

I will always buy last year’s best at 45% discount, rather than the newest. :)

The new bolts are redesigned. More thread, and they sit lower on the wheel. Its been over a week and zero leaks. Very happy with how things turned out. Sending the old bolts back to ICON in case they need to examine them.

I wonder what the purpose/need for the longer threads?

I checked on a wheel before the new tire was mounted. Once torqued to 20 foot pounds, the old bolt stopped short of the final threads on the inside of the hole, and the bolt head stuck out more on the outside.

The new bolt threads stop at the right spot, taking advantage of all the hole threads. The head sits lower on the outside due to the shorter collar on the bolts. So looks like a functionality improvement. ICON is serious about weight, not sure if the bolt shortening was driven by weight.

IMO the new bolts would seem stronger and lighter due to the above details not sure if they’ll mention to the public. Since rotating weight is important, I hope they do.

Forgot to mention, I replaced the o-ring after torquing during the test on the one bolt.
