My local dealer has had 2 sitting there for about 6 months waiting on parts. Maybe I'm just being paranoid
If the clutch isn't slipping in top gear (or whatever top gear you use on the road) then you don't *need* to do *anything.*

You may *want* to return to stock tire size or regear to make the jeep more fun and comfortable to drive but you can do that on your own schedule on your own budget.

yeah, but when? He has a problem right now that could lead to a seriously burnt clutch and ruined flywheel any time now. I guess he could put the stock wheels on until that time comes. It'll look funny, but it wont be near as strain wear on the clutch.
If it's currently slipping, I agree. But it's NOT clear from symptoms he described though that he actually has a currently slipping clutch. If the clutch isn't slipping - he has time.

Chris,

I hope you can get it fixed. Jeeps, mods and parts add up really quick. Be patient, get a good game plan together and do the best you can. I hope everything works out for you. BTW you're in the right place for advice but ultimately you decide what's best for you bro!

Best of luck!

Somebody needs to be brutally honest with you. You can't afford your Jeep.

P.S. That is a 2.5" Lift.
Why is that? Because I have to save up to do things? Or because I'm too poor to just throw $2000 at something if it's not the problem? Now as far as the lift, according to the part numbers on the springs and the dealership it's a 4". Thank you for you opinion.

Your dealer is a bunch of crooks if they sold you a 30k mile vehicle with zero warranty and advertised a 4 inch lift. There is no such thing as a 4 inch mopar lift on a JL. It's a 2.5".

Have you verified the axle ratio? If you don’t know how, any shop can verify it for you.

I have a manual 2018 JLU Sport. It's all stock minus the 4" lift and 35s. When I hit the clutch to down shift or go into neutral 9 times out of 10 my rpms will almost bottom out then just about 1000 and then settle down. When I start it it will idle about 17000 ish. It will settle down if I give it time or I can pop the throttle and immediately drop to the normal 700. 1st to 2nd is ok. 2-3 can be a little weak(in my opinion). 3-4 is really weak and when I'm in 5th it will actually slow down even though I can have it floored. I've been told that it might have to do with the clutch recall. Before I beg and borrow to get a centerforce can anyone tell me if it's the clutch or not? I'm poor as hell and I can't spend $1500 just for hopes. This is my daily driver and I dont have anything else.
Can be 2 things or both. Clutch slave cylinder and/or the clutch disc is worn.
First check the clutch master cylinder see if the hydraulic oil is normal and roped off
Also trace the oil line to the transmission see if it’s sweating or leaking
Start from there

One more thing -take off the air intake from the throttle body and see if the butterfly is dirty -these engines are fly by wire. So when you open the throttle plate/butterfly do it gently as it motorized and see where the plate and intake port at the lip is dirty. If so clean it by hand with a clean lint free towel. Make sure nothing falls in the chamber. Make sure the engine is cool to touch - also check for any brittle, cracked vacuum hoses around the galleries

35’s on a 4” lift (which it isn’t) would look absolutely tiny. Nobody puts a 4” lift on a JL.

I find it absurd that they’re allowed to even sell you a manual transmission Wrangler at this point. They’re all defective, the new models can’t be sold at all. You need to replace the clutch whether you are having problems with it or not.
