I’ve had the dealership listen to these few clips I managed to get of the odd sound when steering. they don’t seem interested in figuring it out.

so, this issue seems to happen when the vehicle is cold and I notice it most frequently when reversing but it’s happened while starting to roll forward as well. In the videos, I am turning the steering wheel while stationary but only because I heard the sound and stopped, grabbed my phone to try and record it and it’ll usually stop happening. It’s a very shy sound… it doesn’t seem to want to be recorded lol

it sounds like rubbing, but I’m not moving. It happens when rolling backwards and cutting hard either way.
The jeeps a 2024 2dr Willy’s, stock, 10k kms and this has been going on since I got it back in October.

I also have a 2024 4xe and there’s no odd sounds like the Willys

Find another dealer. You have a brand new vehicle covered by a factory warranty. Dealerships are obligated to accept your vehicle for warranty work.

That being said, check the trim around the steering wheel/steering column. It could be something rubbing there.

It definitely sounds like its binding. Seems to happen at the same point of rotation.

I would try turning the wheel, while leaning in and under the dash.
AND
just for elimination purposes, I would release the tilt/telescoping lock and readjust the steering column in a different position, see if the noise remains.

Ultimately, if it isn't something simple, as mentioned, find a better dealership.
