I was just noticing that the interior of my 2024 Wrangler 4xe is very dirty and gross. Thanks to it being my daily work commuter and a very hairy GSD/Malinois mix, the interior needs a good pressure spraying just to get it ready to detail.

Being a Jeep with a removable top, I was wondering if the interior is more resistant to water than other vehicles.

Not sure I would pressure wash the dash.
Since 2000 I have either run naked all summer of Safari style (current). Never an issue.

With that said, I have always removed any stitch of carpet, and always used waterproof seat covers.

The JL interiors are definitely more water resistant than most vehicles, but I still wouldn't go crazy with a pressure washer inside. Light rinsing and careful use of water on the floors is generally fine, especially if you have the drain plugs out, but I'd avoid directly spraying the dash, infotainment screen, switches, and anything electrical. A shop vac, brushes, and an extractor are probably safer options for the heavy cleaning. With a hairy dog, I feel your pain!

I run naked all summer long and the jeep get wash every 2 weeks. Sure making sure not to send to much water in it but not a issue so far. I get hit by rain couples of time and never got a issue neither in the last 18 years.

Back in the day one of my mechanic friend dealing in the use car market was cleaning all the use car they where getting using the pressure washer in and out, than blowing the dash with compress air. In today electronic dash not sure he continue to do this but he told me he never got a issue.

I wouldn’t use any pressure spraying. You have wiring and connectors running down both sides of the door thresholds of the Jeep and inside the kick panels. I would be concerned about water being forced into connectors and starting corrosion issues. Maybe that’s unfounded. Consider removing the carpet if pressure washing is truly needed. Otherwise a carpet shampooer and a strong wet/dry vac are probably the way to go.

The carpet comes out and goes back in pretty easily. Just push pins and velcro. Lay it out in the driveway and pressure wash it and then if you can hang it somewhere to dry. If needed you can remove the drain plugs and hose the floor out, although I just vacuumed and wiped it down. The seats I would just use an extraction type cleaner, although I have neoprene seat covers, I do the same process. the rest I just wipe down with a good cleaner. Pressure washing the inside of any vehicle just seems like a bad idea to me.

Every time @Aonar posts that jeep in all its environmental situations it brings me closer to yeeting the windows and carpet in mine too and going safari! Safari is by far my favorite look of the wranglers! I’m not rich so I don’t have half doors like he does. But Father’s Day is coming and my kids haven’t shut up about tube doors. Which I haven’t brought up so we’ll see what happens. Maybe that’s the push I need to commit! And waterproof seat covers.

It's taken me 5+ years getting Her to this point. The seat covers were one one the first mods. GL this Fathers Day ;)

I experimented with removing the carpets but there is a significant increase from road noise so I just left them in.
