I'm using both the AUX and the BATTERY. I use the AUX4 to turn on/off the camera system & monitor. The battery wire just provides a trickle of power to retain the the video interface configuration settings (yellow wire), otherwise it would reset to the defaults every time you power off the camera system. I have my Midland GMRS radio pigtailed into the battery power as well, hence the reference in the diagram.@RubiDukkie I was going over the PDF you made for installing the cameras. I noticed that you tapped into the aux 4 switch. Are you actually using the switch? I know there is also a fused battery and ignition wire in that same bundle and trying to figure out if those would work as well.
That makes sense. Thanks!I'm using both the AUX and the BATTERY. I use the AUX4 to turn on/off the camera system & monitor. So I found the issue yesterday!@C.Sco, were you able to resolve the issue with the new wide-angle front cam?
BTW, had to put the sun shield on yesterday while doing the Sevenmile Rim trail in Moab. It definitely helped. For those with darker window tint than mine, it wouldn’t be an issue. How do you like the sun shield? I think I got one too but I didn't ever end up trying it out, so far sun glare hasn't really been an issue
