Yes, “about 10 minutes” was a huge overstatement on my part. In reality it’s closer to 1-2.idling that long at cold temp is terrible for modern engines.
I let my diesel idle till the rpm drops (30 seconds or less above 40 degrees 60–75 seconds if it’s ACTUALLY cold)
drive it easy for the first 5 minutes then drive like normal
