I've been seeing many threads where owners talk about issues with their 2018 JL's. I know the 2019 Wranglers are only starting to come off the lot but I'm curious to hear how things are going with them! I want to hear about things I should look out for when I eventually take delivery of mine at the end of the month.

Picked up my JL this past Friday. Drove home 100ish miles with no issue. Later that night took a 70 mile trip and getting home I had a service electronic throttle control message showing up on the dash.

The message was coming on and off intermediately really quickly maybe 10 times in 5 mins and would not stay on the dash for more then 1-2 seconds and disappear.

I drove straight home worrying I might get stranded somewhere. Opened the fuse box and made sure all the fuses were seated. A few fuses/relays weren't clicked all the way in.

I did not have a check engine light at any point.

On Saturday I drove to work and back with no issue. After work I drove to the supermarket.

On the way to the supermarket I was greated by Service Start Stop. After the supermarket that message was gone but my radio would not turn on. The back light was on but the screen was just black. It eventually restarted itself twice and stayed on.

Today in the daylight I took another look at the fuses box. 2-3 fuses/relays were still not clicked all the way in. Have yet to drive today we'll see if any other issues arrise.

But at least there's no death wobble!

Jeeps lots of jeeps
I picked mine up Monday. I've noticed while stopping or while at slow speeds the jeep will lurch forward/speed up. Almost seems like it down shifts too early causing it to lurch. Also noticed a couple times when I went to start up it paused and didn't go. Probably make an appointment for it this week.

It takes a little while for the transmission to learn how to drive, but if it is a significant problem you should definitely hit the dealer up.

Search the forum for similar issues, that one in particular has been happening a lot. Sometimes, its a bad battery, others have been more intricate.

Three day old car with a bad battery. Pretty sad. Thanks for the advise though I hope I can get it taken care of without an appointment.

Hi Carlton and Joaozao,
We're very sorry that you are experiencing these concerns with your brand new Jeeps. Please send us a private message if you would like any additional assistance while your Jeeps are at your dealers. We will be happy to have a case escalated for you so a Case Specialist can work with your dealers to help find a potential solution to your concerns.

Got my Jeep back today. The dealer said there was no leaks but there was frost in the throttle control. First time hearing this as a possible issue so we'll see if it acts up again.

@JeepCares provided no help. They assured me someone would call but that never happened.

SCIENCE!
Well, FWIW, my 19 has been performing admirably. Had a random static attack on my stereo couple days ago, but it went away after a restart, and hasn't reemerged. Other than that, it's been a pleasure. No frame weld issues, perfect steering (totally immaculate, no dead spot), great performance on road and off. I love the lil guy.

9 days, 500 miles, no issues. Every manufacturer has issues. It does really suck for the extreme minority that do have issues. But if you are really worried, and asking people about their experiences after a couple weeks of driving, get something else.

Been awesome since about May. recently though (last 2 weeks) I am starting to hear some awkward clunking out of the front suspension. mainly driver side. and it seems to be getting worse. Got an appointment next week to have it looked at.

Got my 2019 MOAB about a week and half ago without an issue. Put 1200 miles on it already. No problem except when I first got it. The light on the board seems a little bright and There wasn't a way for me to adjust it at all even if I tried to put it to be on a lower light setting.

**notice that I already knew where the lighting dimmer/brighter for the board was at the time as well**

After 500 miles range, it finally allows me to adjust it manually at my command. Weird...
